And they seem to have the transform gimick, with Tibarn being a 3 move flier in hawk form (!)

The new story is edgy as fuck.
As in crawling in my skin levels of edge
Shadow the Hedgehog levels

But the free units seem well designed and Hel looks quite a bit more unique than Surtr.
Overall I like it's design a lot more than Nifl or Muspel.

Sure 'Mythical heroes' are just second wave legendary, but the fact that Eir is on a Hero Fest banner is a good sign. No 20 pity breakers like we often have. And the hero fest itself is pretty nice overall.

You make it sound like it is a bad thing that the story seems to be edgy AF. Imo that's just what I needed and not something like 'Book II - Story of melting ice-cream in summer'

Well, it might be something that puts people off.
Complaining about edge is the national hobby of the internet.

I like it though. As long as the characters are accually fleshed out this time.

And we will see some alfonse actions in this book

Alfonse certainly seems to be the focus here along with Eir.
Which bodes well, better than having Fjorm as focus.

It was about what we should have been expecting. Most of the content centered around book 3. Other than the tickets and beast units that was really about it.

Kinda feels like we should have gotten Bruno by now, though, since it looks like maybe the story has completely moved past him. I wonder why they still haven't released him as summonable in some way.

Shadow the Hedgehog levels? OH NO, we're getting an anthropomorphic hedgehog packing heat with "butter under their feet" slippery controls and like 10 different endings!?

I'm sorry I couldn't miss the opportunity to reference that terrible disappointment of a game.

If you take all of the "Gameplay" and "Story" aside... it was actually a good game. (Lol)
