Your favorite play-styles and/or unit builds?

A few days ago, I upgraded a Gordin to give Brave Bow+ to my VA!Roy (my first Brave Bow archer), and I can't believe that I went over a year without ever using something as hilariously powerful as this. He's so much fun to use!

Anyway, are there any unit builds--meta or unconventional, it doesn't matter--that you all enjoy using for one reason or another?

My favoeite tactic is Debuff. I mean: Gunthra, Catria, Lute and Arvis. You can include other units really powerful as L'Arachel or Sacred Memories Eirika. With their default weapobs + cavalry buffs + enemiés debuffs = you destriy everything. My Gunnthra just ORKO everything.
I love my mages.

You have no idea how much I want Gunnthra so that I can use her Blizzard tome! I do have a S!Catria, Arvis (with Valflame), and a bunch of other Ploy units that I like using as is, but Gunnthra's tome is just so good in these types of teams.

I have a 5* neutral Felicia and it's so hilarious to see her one-shot units, like Hector, when she has her weapon (Felicia's Plate) and Glacies.

Felicia isn't my favorite characters in the FE series, but she has one of the funnest builds I've ever used.

One day, I'll build up a Felicia. She seems so much fun, too! (It also helps that I liked her in Fates.) But there are just too many units I have that want feathers, whether it be merge projects or units I like that are already at 5-Stars with good IVs.

I just recently upgraded my Felicia and haven't regretted that decision for a second! :D Mine is +Atk -HP and she also tears through ridiculous amount of units, Plate, Glacies, Fury, Desperation and at the moment double Savage Blow just to spread mayhem.

She's actually my best Fates girl so it's a bonus she's fun to deploy!

Enemy phase manaketes. Seriously powerful. You can literally just bait almost the entire cast and one-round them while taking very little damage. Easy merges, easy arena dominance.

I have a merged Nowi with Steady Breath + Aether + Quick Riposte on my Arena team, and you are absolutely right. In most cases, she can tank and kill just about anything, especially if she is on a defensive tile.

Something i recently started using are ridiculous debuffing team filled 3 reds and gunnthra,debuff the hell out of the other team then let my buffed up gunnthra take all units out lol

I find it amusing when my horse team mages just runs over everything without taking any damage. Even when they can't, my tankier horses can block and protect my hyper-offensive mages.
Or I use my armor team and laugh when Zelgius destroys everything that comes at him. He's just unstoppable.

As much as I hate facing Horse Emblem, it is probably the most fun Movement-type team for me to use because they have so much movement, are super easy to build, and are just really powerful. There's nothing quite like seeing Reinhardt, Gronnblade+ Cecilia, B!Lyn, and (now) Brave Bow+ VA!Roy absolutely wreck teams. I also love using Xander and Camus as tanky horses that can even kill on the retaliation.

I liked Arden steady breat + cd3 + follow up ring + bonfire + killer weapon as an amazing physical tank.

Now i enjoy him even more with safeguard +... Virtually indestructible physically

I don't see a lot / hear a lot of people running Arden nowadays. He's one of the best units that IS has ever given out for free in my opinion--only behind Black Knight in terms of Tempest Trial rewards--and is underrated. I don't have the resources to quite go as far as you have, but I run the Brave Sword+ / Ignis / Earth Boost 3 / Follow-Up Ring / Brash Assault just so he can quad all of the time whenever he initiates.

You can try fire boost 3 in A slot for a deathblow 3 in ennemy phase AND player phase. He is such a beast with almost any build.
I play him from time to time in quad build too and he rekt almost all the unit that are not nowi/F!Corrin.

I was actually thinking about doing that at one point. While I do have a VA!Eliwood that I can upgrade, it's going to cost 20K feathers and I already have his 5-Star version built up. It may be a while until I can give him that skill. (Hopefully, IS makes it more available in the future.)

I might also consider Death Blow 3 because I do have an extra Klein and no one else I have really wants Death Blow at the moment, but as you said, it will only work on the Player Phase when he initiates rather than both Phases. Still, Arden's damage output will be increased significantly.

Gotta admit I’m a huge fan of the Tactics. It’s like playing an emblem team with whatever you want. I’m currently rocking standard build Ayra buffed by Def AND Res Tactic PA!Azura and an Atk Tactic Brave Lyn buffed by an Hone Calvary blue Reinhardt.

I often play mixed team with Azura giving def and res tactic, but it's the NY! Azura for me^^. She is giving her buff to LA! Hector DD and Ploy Boy Arvis for amazings results

Before I upgraded Felicia I also upgraded a Gordin like you but I gave my Brave Bow+ to Setsuna who is probably my second best Fates girl (that spot is a little more windy than Felicia's top one) and I too can't believe I didn't do that before! Less mobile and durable than Pony Roy obviously but still fun to use.

I'm also a bad person and lacking in character and immediately 5*'d an Atk+ Reinhardt the moment I pulled one. But super offensive Cavalry is just satisfying.

Haha, no problems. I did the very same thing when I got my first +Atk Reinhardt. He is pretty fun to use, even if he is very cheesy.

My personal favourite is Tactics teams. Running a Drain specced L!Ephraim and Blade Tome SM!Eirika as the offense with PA!Azura and Lachesis as the buff/support. It's one of the teams I don't have any worries sending into arena since it just flattens everything.
