Would Dragon Laguz be considered as Beast units or dragonstone units?

I've been thinking if we get dragon Laguz from PoR and RD, would they transform using the effects that the beast units we have rn( the will not shapeshift of near an ally that is not a dragonstone or beast unit) or they will just use the Manakete formula, or rather will they be considered as beast units or dragon stone units?

what do you guys think??

Didnt play but logically, if they had breath skills they should be classified as dragons. If they attacked physically they should be beasts.

IS could still do whatever it wants so who knows

The thing with Dragon Laguz in RD was they're damage typing was based on their color. Red and Black deal physical damage while White dealt magical damage. However in PoR, White Breath dealt physical damage, so they were all physical in that game.

So honestly it could kinda go either way. And I'm fine with either, I just want my boi Kurth eventually! Kurth is best FE dragon!

Manaketes and Laguz are not the same last I checked, but I'm not sure about Taguel.

Ricken: Say, Panne. I heard taguel can turn into all kinds of animals. So what else can you become besides a big bunny?
Panne: ......
Ricken: Hey, Panne? Did you hear me? I asked what other animal—
Panne: You just won't take stony silence for an answer, will you? I've met some taguel who become lions, and others who turned into wolves.

So... Taguel and Laguz are related in some way, unless Panne is just like "all shifters are Taguel, deal with it man-spawn" or what.

Some possibility they will be beasts and therefore vulnerable to anti-beast weaponry but have weapons which specify that they target res?

Well the thing is Black and Red Dragon Laguz did physical damage, and even White Dragons did physical in PoR. In RD, it switched to magical damage for only White Dragons.

Either way though I just want Kurth the join eventually! I'm fine with either option honestly.

Laguz and manaketes are different.

Mankaetes require an outside source to become dragons.
Laguz do not.

Dragon Laguz and Manaketes are like lions and housecats. A housecat on its own is nobig deal cause its got no humans (dragonstones) backing them up, while Dragon Laguz can shift at will without needing a trinket for it. This is also why Panne isn't a laguz, she requires a stimulus like manaketes.

Same family, different genus.

I would imagine them to have Dragon attacks (close range, magic damage) with the "transform or ya basic" beast mechanics.
