Would a defiant skill work on horse chrom?

I had pulled him on the legendary banner and I was wondering if it would be good to use the defiant skills along with sealed falchion.

DONT USE DEFIANT SKILLS, THEYRE OUTCLASSED IN EVERY WAY (sorry for caps I just don’t care.)

Actually, the caps emphasises the fact that defiant skills are not good skills. Exalted chrom has good base skills already there is not much need to replace anything, just replace sword valor with hone/fortify/ward/goad calvary and heavy blade seal and he is good (assuming you have good iv chrom)

As stated, his native Fury is not bad with the Sealed Falchion. But if you are not a fan of Fury, go with a Brazen skill such as Brazen Atk/Def (or Brazen Atk/Spd if you have a Spd boon).

Assuming he is getting Hone Cavalry buffs, 71 attack and 46 speed with Brazen Atk/Spd and neutral IVs; he doesn't need a speed boon to capitalize on that.

Defiant skills definitely need an improvement after the introduction of Brazen they are so terrible it's sad.

That said there is but 1 case I could make for a Defiant skill. That being on a Blade tome user. Since Brazen is a combat buff it has no affect on blade tomes, but Defiant skills are "at beginning of turn" visible buffs, so it will boost a blade tome. Anything other than that, there are definitely better options.
