Worth Promoting Garon when he comes out?

I think Garon is pretty unique among the red dragons. His preference breath is unique and the stats are promising.

However, I have both Young Tiki and Adult Tiki and I have been investing into them with good builds. Plus, they are both in the summoning pool for IVs and merges..

Would Garon be worth promoting in this case? He could still be useful for F2P guides.

Any feedback would be appreciated so we can start a discussion. Thanks in advance!

I would. The art is a bonus for me, his animation is another. But if I had to say stat wise, he's very, very good. Imagine A!Tiki with more points in res and less in def. That's about what he is, and without a weakness to Falchion or Naga, he could be very good against Marth and friends. That being said, another boon is his usability in F2P videos, though most F2P videos have him at 4 star, he will still be good at 5 stars (and for F2P users 5 starring him may be good if you consider that not everyone has a built up A!Tiki or Y!Tiki or any tiki for that matter)

I'd do it, and I will after I merge up my Tiki again, but it really depends on what he gives you compared to what you already have.

I'm definitely promoting him. I'm also going to give him Lightning Breath with either a def or res refine and use him as a ranged and melee mixed tank. i may also give him obstruct or a tome breaker in his B slot

The breath giving him a shield against dragon effectiveness is definitely something to consider.

I might Promote him later, but I'm probably not going to invest too much if I decide to do that.

I actually would promote Garon to 5* just to see him take out Hoshidian units like he was destined to. I have a build in mind, but it has SB in it. I also like the new recent art trend with the GHBs.

Nah, I say it ain’t worth it. His kit is crappy, his Prf weapon is way too niche (they should’ve just given him 1-2 range) and It’s kind of a waste when you always have merge projects to work on.
