I have yet to bag anyone with bold fighter, so I’m struggling to make my halloween Jakob any good. Any advice?
He is good man. Since you've got a +res refine a guard Bow +def and pair him with a fortify armor unit. Also put close defense in him and attack smoke. Done! You have a monster wall that will take a lot to take down. Jakob is not supposed to kill much anyway, besides with his specials, of course.
I had the same Jakob and ran this set before I was able to find a better IV version:

Worked really well but sometimes it sucked not being able to kill units. He was a monster at dealing with magic dealers though and iceberg proc was strong.
