Wings of Mercy or Renewal for my Olivia?

As the title says, I'm struggling a lot between giving/investing SPs on either Renewal or WoM.

My Olivia is -Atk and +res
Weapon : Ruby Sword
Support Skill : Dance
Special Skill : None

Passives :
Slot A : Fury 3
Slot B : Yet to be decided
Slot C : Hone attack 3
Sacred Seal : Fortify Res 1

Personally, I'm more leaning towards having her Renewal, but I'd like to have some of your opinions and such. Thanks for reading and your future feedback!

I believe that it depends more on your temp comp than on your Olivia.

If you're focused on the player phase with a more offensive team, Wings of Mercy is the better option. It's also almost always the better choice in arena defense.

If you're focused on the enemy phase with a more defensive (i.e. baiting) team, then renewal is probably a solid choice. I'd imagine that it's usually the better choice in events like the Tempest Trials or Chain Challenges.

I use Renewal on my Olivia (+hp/-def) mostly to keep my Fury-heavy team topped off in TT via Reciprocal Aid. If things go terribly wrong, Olivia usually is in the back ready to have her health drained.

I've only once wished I'd taken my WoM Azura into battle instead.

Though my main team is full infantry, so Olivia has no real problems keeping pace. If you want to run her with horse or flier emblem, WoM would probably be the better choice.

Just my thoughts - I have WoM3 on my Olivia (Def+/HP-), and I find it's so useful for her to transport to allies and enable them to take another move. Olivia shouldn't be taking or making too many hits that would allow damage from foes or damage from Fury to need Renewal to keep her health up

Agreed. In general you want to avoid Olivia getting attacked unless she's being used to check/counter a Green. If I were going for a defensive B slot...I'd probably go for a breaker skill, to keep her from being doubled, rather than renewal. But I've found Wings of Mercy so useful that I wouldn't bother.

That said, I liked saragold's strategy of making her an HP donation bank through renewal.

Wings of Mercy worked fine in my Ninian(Support Dancer) in this case a extra turn can be useful to a not adjacent/near Allie.
