Why would you use Windsweep or Watersweep?

It's not really common, but I see a lot of people saying "use Windsweep" or "use Watersweep"... they need you to be faster than your opponent to negate a counterattack, so why would you run it if you can probably double? Can someone tell me why are these skills "good"?

One example is windsweep for a unit like Jaffar.
He has workable speed, but isn't able to kill people. Doubles or no.
So Jaffar often inflicts out of combat damage and debuffs.
But the main problem is that DC units, often slower units, will likely kill him on the counter. So Jaffar can use windsweep to basicly have a dazzling staff effect agaist every mage, and slower melee units.

Well I guess that if you're playing arena and want to give as many kills as possible to bonus units, these are great skills to safely lower the health of the enemy team and allowing your bonus unit to secure more kills.

People use it to negate counter-attacks. People like it because it negate counter-attacks. People may want to have a build center around not being counter-attacked. Maybe they don't want to take damage for some reason so they want the foe to be unable to counter. I don't know what else to say because it's really self-explanatory. No counter-attack is its appeal.

Saying that, I doubt you'll find people, even those people saying use those sweep skills, as top tier skills. They are decent skills that have harsh limitations.

There are two types of units it works excellently with - Chip Damager or Debuffer. Pair it with Flashing Blade (seal) and it's very effective for what it needs to do.

People have mostly answered it, it's that if you can't one-round then some QR tank might hit you with a big special.

Also, phantom spd seal works well with this skill. You can get 10 spd from just a seal, but it's not spd that allows you to double.

There's one other use which is becoming more popular, which is blocking your own double on purpose in arena because you want to leave them alive for the bonus unit to get the kill.
