Why not a close counter seal?

I understand the reason we'll never see a DC seal: Hector makes IS too much money. That's perfectly understandable. They need some relatively elusive stuff people will pay good money for.
However, close counter is another ordeal altogether. It is a niche skill at best. It sees little arena play. And I doubt it makes IS money (there's a reason we don't see Takumi in banners). On top of that, having it as a seal wouldn't make infernal or abysmal challenges much easier, if at all. The most popular ranged heroes cover their A/S slots and wouldn't use close counter. If anything, it gives a chance for less-used heroes like Boey and Henry a chance to see more play-time (I have no doubts IS keeps a log of how often heroes get used).
Just my thoughts on the matter. I doubt we'll ever see it, but it would be nice.

I said it once and I'll say it again.

A CC seal seems too powerful, at least at the time being. Do you really want to fight a +10 Winter Tharja with Brazen Def/Res with Close Counter?

Every character has an effective weapon counter for them.

And it's not like everyone has an Armorsmasher/Slaying Spear/Slaying Hammer unit in their arena core.

That sounds like their problem. If theyre not gonna properly prepare for threats they shouldnt complain. I refuse ot give fjorm aether over her native ice mirror, and it fucks me up constantly and breaks my streaks, but I dont whine about it.Same with hectors, she has trouble with them, but I still refuse to give her anti armor weapons, and I also dont bitch about it.

I do agree on that statement, but a CC seal still seems too powerful for now.

I don't run Armor weapons on my arena team because I don't need it. It does just fine without them.

Whatever you don't run in your A slot will just go to your seal slot. So this won't accomplish anything except less expensive fodder. I'm on board for it, the end build just doesn't change.

I cannot see them releasing a a CC or DC seal, however, I could see them releasing a more limited version - Kind of like Armored Boots vs Armored March.

something like
Retalitory Strike: If units HP = 100% at start of combat unit can counter attack regardless of range.
