Why isn't this a thing?

We have armored red/blue/green mages and sword/lance/axe users, an armored dragonstone/bow user (and most of them are top tier!), when will we get an armored staff user? Just think, tank-y healer with wings of mercy and breath of life? Yes, please! I just want to know everyone else's thoughts on this.

After the arena changes that make supporting the bonus unit important, a 165 BST armored staff healer that can run dazzling savage blow or smokes with an exclusive 500 SP special will bring out the whales.

I'm sorry, but what does "bring out the whales" mean? I've seen it in a couple of places, but I haven't played in a while (have not since it came out, got started back up right before Ylissean Travelers banner.

well my LAlyn is a healer tank of sorts
Def+hp-
blue egg def refine
reciprocal aid
aether
CC
renewal3
armor march3
breath of life3seal
not really meant for combat, more of a self healing healer with decent spd, def, res. and uses BoL3 to heal when initiating or heal using reciprocal aid

It might be good on paper but bad on the field but since it's armored you really can't go wrong.
My problem with the concept is that without any movement boosting skills(armor march or armor boots) The healer will be useless in any team except for armor emblem, with their one movement healing allies will be a pain.

Tbh I dont really see the practicality of armored healers, since they'd only be able to move one space (with the exception of armor march, armored boots, or movement skills). and they'd be pretty much useless because they wouldn't be able to inherit the skills, making armored units kinda OP in the first place. I feel the only time I'd use them is missions that use armored emblem.

We really are overdue an armoured (and a flying) healer.
Until then Azama kinda has the stat line of an armoured healer (keeping in mind Staff unit BST drops)
