Why is Gwendolyn so underrated? Seriously.

I've been working her up since I started playing to find a good build and just recently got her to +10 with summoner support (She is +Res/-Spd). Her build is Carrot Lance+(Res Refinement) Kliffs (A) skill "Fortress Def/Res 3" (B) Wary Fighter 3 or Bold Fighter 3 (C) Adaptable; but I use typically use Odd Atk Wave 3 or Hone Armor (Special) Ignis or Glacies (Assist) Adaptable (Seal) +3 Res

This brings her stats to a whopping 63Hp / 48Atk / 27Spd / 50Def / 50Res

I was reluctant to tell all of yall this because if I see this in my arena now, I'm gonna be FELLA sad. I can't kill that sh*t. Enjoy, and thank me later. I'm aware that this is an incredibly expensive build but you won't regret it.

I would like to make her a part of my arena core because of that sweet bst but I just REALLY dislike her design and can't bring myself to even consider it seriously...

Thicc thighs save lives. Also, I have a +10 kagero for a reason ;)

It’s not that she is underrated. It’s that she requires a ton of investment to be good and not only that- she’s been outclassed by a handful of blue armors

You answered your own question. Because she requires a ton of investment and not a lot of people are going to want to make it.

Yeah... except Hardin/Brave Hector can do similar to this but with distant counter and a stronger enemy phase.

Your Gwen is scary in player control against certain targets, yes, but her enemy phase leaves a lot to be desired. Armors typically make up for their lack of movement by having strong phases, and since she has no movement buffs or enemy phase to speak of, pretty much anyone is going to be able to kite her out and win without taking damage. Even with that, someone can just send almost any melee unit to bait her first turn attack because her special won't trigger on initiation (4->2, 2->1, 1->ready) and then just kill her on the follow up turn.

Props tho, its a strong build in player control.

Hone Armor Fodder, Effie's a thing and she got poopoo design. I would build her if she gets a prf weapon though. She is quite good.

Mine is +spd -def, currently +9, the game will never give me the tenth, while I already got Effie +atk -spd and Sheena +spd -def too at +10.
Effie has Ridersbane (eff), DC, Wary Fighter and Armor March.
My idea was to score the best I could with Gwen, the second ftp choice after Sheena of 170 bst.
In order to make her different than Effie and as effective as she could be, I gave Gwendolyn DC, Slaying Spear +spd refined, Renewal + Reciprocal aid (working as a healer in Arena for the bonus unit) and a Goad / Ward armor / Brazen Atk Res 3 seal.
She was a beast in my last armor team in the latest Tempest Trial, along with Zephiel, LA Lyn and Sheena.
I was wondering If I should give my second Brave Hector's Bold Fighter to be the complete Armorslayer when attacking but I'll keep waiting.
All my armors got Aether as well.

She is used as a face tank that can dish out a killing blow with Ignis in one hit if she gets close enough. She works wonders with my Flier Olivia with Guidance 3.
