why do you guys care so much about beast units?

they're really bad in their games (except for royal laguz) and their personality don't really stand out
it's just my opinion so feel free to disagree and don't hate me please❤

Even without zooming in on any beast unit in particular, the simple fact that they are part of the Fire Emblem universe is good enough a reason to add them in Heroes.

Now, gameplay-wise, they could also have new innate mechanics, like dragons have (the adaptative damage specifically). For instance, many beast units' combat abilities were "berserker"-like, becoming more powerful the lower health they had. This would bring in something new to Heroes, if these units come with the appropriate (new?) skills.

For my part, I don't particularly care about beast units, but I think they ought to be added at some point.

I think, for the most part, it's just something new. We haven't really had any new weapon types unless you count colored bows and daggers , but those are more of recolored weapons than a new weapon type as a whole.

Beast units would add in a while new unit, therefore more weapons (like how we have weapons to counter dragons) to add, and maybe some more skills (hopefully none of that even/odd turn crap. I've always hated those skills).

I personally don't care too much. There have been some cool ones, but, as a whole, none that really made me go "We need beast units now!" like other people.

Because they're some cool units with (potentially) some nice and fresh skills/gameplay.
I don't remember them being that bad honestly. And about their lack of personality, how many characters do we already have in the game that have near to zero personality ? (Yes, I'm looking at you , Camilla-the-walking-boobies)

They weren't that bad, yeah a few of the Laguz were bad like Lyre and Kyza, but most of them were workable.

But also the fact that the Laguz felt so much more different then any other beast unit in the series, they weren't just beast versions of dragons, they were their own thing.

And for lack of personality,it's a Fire Emblem game. Most characters exist to look pretty.

Like most people have already said, it would be nice to have some new units/skills. I mean we already have dragon units so why not beast units? I don't think they have any less personality then most of the units in the fire emblem series. The only laguz I can say that I really liked was Ranulf. He was such a good kitty!

> Bad in their games
Have you seen Seth in Heroes? Heroes cares not for strength and usefulness in original games.

As for why people like them: They stand out from most other characters in the series. Laguz, and by extent, Manaketes and other shifters, have interesting designs and dynamics that set them apart from the humans in the series. Their mechanics especially would be interesting to see implemented into Heroes' more streamlined design.

Actually beastkin in most of their games were really really powerful. Most of them were broken in Path of Radiance, have some nasty skills in Radiant Dawn such as Rend and Savage, as well as the beastkin in fates being the best non royal units in that game. The only issue most faced in Path of Radiance was the lack of chances to get level ups and the amount of exp needed. Some laguz were bad, but most had their uses. Also, the weapons effective against almost never hit any of them with the exception of bows against most bird laguz.
