My thoughts, as I don't outright hate her, is for me she felt very underwhelming.
But there are definitely times in Fates story, which I feel isn't good to begin with, where Azura seemingly just let's thing happen without doing much of anything except being there. When in actuality she knows more about the behind the scenes then anyone but again rarely does much with it.
And that's where a good bit of my gripes with her come in, the lack of her telling even smaller details that could potential lead to misunderstandings being resolved. And I know the game tries to "remedy" it with "But if I tell anyone about that otherworld I'll vanish." But for me I feel that was just trying to mask bad storytelling, or perhaps trying to patch up plotholes with the most basic uninteresting option available. And it just ultimately makes me feel like Azura's just there most of the time just for the few instances where she's absolutely needed for the story, in which case she finally does something.
So maybe it's seemingly a lack of initiative from her in the majority of the story that ends up being why I never liked her.
And this I'm most likely in the minority on, but I never found her that useful as a unit in Fates despite the refresher status. I always just ended up benching her for a character that would likely just hold their own better in battle, than wasting the time to level her up.
Hopefully this explanation wasn't too wordy as to make it hard to follow, I've been known to do that.
