Why did we get a free Narcian ? He is meh...

Hi, just wondering since I'm not so aware about FEH news and events.

From what I've read, Narcian is a free reward resulting from the community's votes to get him as a free unit.

I didn't vote or check the cast of choices but wasn't there any better unit to get ?

Narcian is really meh. Not particularly good as an unit nor as a skill fodder, even though he has Lance Breaker at silver rarity. So what is it that made him chosen ? Is he that popular ?

Lancebreaker made him chosen.

You call him meh, but he is the only unit that has Lancebreaker at silver rarity in addition to being limited in supply.

...And the alternatives were Palla, Catria and Est.

It was a vote between four flier total. The next best choice was Palla for moonbow fodder really but lancebreaker is a lot more useful with people like Brave Lucina running around and a few other lances being more common, plus it's a rarer skill to gain than just moonbow which I have an over surplus for these days.

Other two I think were eat and like...catria or Florina. Basically fliers nobody uses.

Lance Breaker is good indeed. Although it seems like the breaker skills are becoming less and less popular due to their very specific use and conditions.

While and the other hand, IS implement more and more general purpose B-skills, like the very potent last one : Wrath.

The choices were him, palla, catria and est.
Except for catria. The other ones are supper common and available at 3*. When summoning.
So SI wise narcian is the way to go since hes the only one with a good skill at 4* and the only one that has it.
