Why are they making things easier?

Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy this game's generousity...but mostly when I feel like I've earned it. It appears that once every update, they keep adding things to make the game easier. First, there was the added bonus for Trials. Now, every bonus unit is 40%...I think the latter is a good decision in the way that it isn't a cheap way to get people to summon, but then I'd just make everyone 20% altogether. The TT reward unit was a good call as a 40% unit, but that's about it. I get that Trials are tedious, but it would at least feel a lot better based on how much you've had to work on it.

I was also about to report lame things like auto battle in Trials. I feel like people aren't appreciating that they're basically the next stepping stone (or were, thanks to the new updates...) next to Arena in the game's competitive and currency farming value. You work your ass off to get a potential 40+ orbs as well as 15-20k+ feathers...

I would have to disagree with the fact that you’ll feel better after doing something repetitive as it is rewarding. I would agree though if it’s not repetitive but tough. Repeating something that constantly beats you(GHB infernal) and after constant struggle and retries, changing comps etc is much more rewarding.

Report

No it's not...we're talking about a grand total of 42 orbs, 10k feathers and even a free 5* reward character. That's definitely paying off. GHB are hard, and I'm not going to say no...but it's basically 1-2 (Lunatic + Infernal), and you are allowed to fully make up a strategy to avoid all of that, ultimately saving you time. It would also outclass the Arena in terms of awards in the span of two weeks (and now, one, apparently...).

Report

Umm not necesarily. Not everybody can make up a brilliant strat for a ghb lunatic/infernal in 1-2 runs. And the changes to Trials were good for the life of the game, grinding for hours on end to get the orbs was and always has been annoying. I literally don't see a logical reason other than preference to argue over the game giving you better loot for less work.

Well instead of the usual 14 days, its now cut to 10 days for TT based on what FEH channel posted, but the highest score might be 50,000. I think because its been a year and we are getting new players regularly, IS decided to try this out. I believe they are just testing things out before they go for a final decision for TT, but i have to disagree about the auto battle in TT. The second to last one we've had, i had no time to get on till it was down to 2 days left, with auto i was able to get past 40,000 at least for those seals dispite burning 5-8 stamina pots.

Report

I'm sure they are changing a lot of things to help new players, for example, this happened before with the stamina for story maps.

And this helps veterans like me too, i don't have the same time of a few months ago. Some players work, others study, its very good that now i can play on auto, i don't want to lose the rewards only because i have to work =\

I disagree with you, not everyone has the time to do TT. I remembered that very first TT, there were no daily multiplier. I had to tediously play to get the juicy juicy quickened pulse. I don't think i can do that regularly. Now, i just auto battle to get the seal.

Report

Dude. I broke my fucking ass of on 100-200 points per run on that thing...barely even made the for the 'Pulse.

yay sleep depravation. :D

but then I just got better

Report

If you don't like things being easier, then just don't use a bonus unit at all if you want to be that person who brags about wOrKiNg fOr tHeIr gOaLs,

dont try to ruin it for the rest of us. and plus, not everyone has that time on their hands to do it with only a 20% bonus unit like it has been in the past

Report

When did I even brag, though? I'm talking about a sense of hard work and feeling like you actually earned your stuff, rather than just leaving your phone on the desk and potentially beating players that actually put in the work.

Report

You get less points doing on auto, so you need more stamina potions, one finite item, if you do manually you get more points and use less stamina to reach the max and if you want you can reach even higher ranks on TT(to get more feathers), because obviously you have more stamina than anyone that play on auto, be proud of yourself.

no one in their right mind wants to do a 100k tempest trial. my first tt, i did 50k and noped out. with the new system, the newer players will feel like they can do 50k. which means they stay with feh. and to older players, this gives us a breather from spending hours and hours grinding.

Report

IS is doing this to build faith and lower our guard so that they can get way with more ridiculous powercreep later on.

...
[I'm kidding.]

In all seriousness, lowering the requirement and shortening the days that Tempest Trials are active are really nice changes because a lot of people don't have the time (myself included) to really dedicate two weeks of grinding to get the good seals, or all of the orbs, or reach a high score. By shortening the time this event is active, there is also possibility that we can get new events faster, or fit more events into the span of a month. (But I guess cynical people could complain that it just means more days where nothing is going on in the game...)

They should have brought back the OG tempest trial with Veronica and called that Tempest Trial + while also keeping this new tempest trial and calling it Tempest Trial Weenie. Lol
