WHY are Kana and RobinF GHBattles?

I always had this question.
I know characters like Valter, Narcian, Michalis or Ursula are considered enemies in their respective games, or others like Navarre appears like enemies in their chapters.
But why characters like RobinF who is literally YOU in the game (Awakenig) is a GHB? Maybe her "dark" version would be an amazing GHB but she is already another hero in this game... (FallenRobinFemale).
And Kana? Is not he the song of FCorrin? I did not play this game but I would like to know why is he considered an enemy.

Im not sure if I forget some other hero who should not be considered a GHB unit and already was.

Well it's called a Grand HERO Battle, so why couldn't the "good" guys be part of it?

If one of the Morgans would have been a GHB I'd say it's because you would at least be "guaranteed" a version of those major characters, but since Morgan isn't it's simply because IS does what IS does.

IS has shown that the characters don't have to be villains. At the start of Robin's GHB, she even says that the fight is pretty much just to discuss tactics and learn from each other.

Jamke is also a good guy (although you do fight against him in genealogy) and at the start of the fight he says "I don't want to hurt you, leave this place".

So the moral of the story is, that you should read those little monologues at the start of each GHB. It helps to understand the context.

There's no set pattern for who becomes a Grand Hero, just trends that are routinely broken. Personally I never understood why Xander is a GHB when none of the other Fates Royals are (okay, Takumi's possessed form got one eventually). He's no more of an antagonist than Ryoma, and arguably less of one than Takumi, and both of them are in the regular summoning pool. Xander gets a lot of alts but to this day there isn't a summonable version of him in the regular pool. Why.
