They're both really good but special spiral is better on fast units, making special spiral better on nephenee

I'll have you know that two Hectors of mine have gone to Nephenee and Female Kana.

I personally do not use any armored units, or at least not unless I have to. None of them are heroes I like and they do not fit my playstyle.

I ran Nephenee with Berkut's Lance, then Tannenboom!+, and now Dauntless Lance. Hell, I gave her Atk Smoke from a Brave Lyn three months before Kaze came out. Neph pretty much soloed the Takumi GHB for me back in the day, only because she had DC. Now I'd agree that Neph prefers raw damage output, so Special Spiral seems a rather odd choice.

What? Why?

Sure, she's not the best for Distant Counter, but she has 30 resistance on enemy phase (when attacked from range) and, what, 43 speed thanks to her refine? The problem is trying to get Atk Smoke off to tank better.

I don't really see why this build is so bad.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate and then my own:

- 30 Res with only 41 HP to fall back on is lame for tanking.
- I completely forgot about the refine, which would indeed put her at basically 43 Spd/48 Def/30 Res...the issue is that it's basically only effective at tanking Jakob, Bow Lucina and Green Lyn (whom I never really see around). You're just fodder to common ranged threats like Reinhardt, Cecilia and Nino.
- It's a Pulse-skill away from a consistent 1-Turn Bonfire...so yeah. It's actually surprisingly good.

It's a really good idea; it's just not amazing on Nephenee. Someone like Lukas might end up using better, since his higher Atk, Def and even HP might make him better at one-shotting as well as physical tanking.

Yeah, this Nephenee definitely isn't the best when it comes to utilizing this set, but she's on teams with Veronica. If Veronica can get her buffs off, then Nephenee would be at 47 speed and 34 resistance, not to mention debuffing the enemy's stats as well.

It's better in the hands of the player (like most, if not all, builds and team comps) but, like you said, it's a pretty good idea.

I don't get why would that person change Wrath when it has arguably the coolest looking icon in the game. The flames are awesome!

Report

Maybe a bit better, but seriously..
Use your damn premium fodder effectively.
A small boost to Nephenee is a big boost to Odin.

The only difference here, is that she can shoot Bonfires at the go after her first encounter. It's better for Player Phase if you want to afford not taking a hit, but then that's assuming said Bonfire will oneshot.

Wrath would've increased oneshot potential at the cost of taking a hit (if you don't mind charging an extra turn).

I still like Wrath.

I put one on my Legendary Ike, probs not the best call but when Radiant Aether goes its a sledgehammer.

I agree with above ^^^ coolest icon for that Seal too
