Who's skipping the new Dancer Banner?

Safe to say that I am skipping this banner. Surprisingly there was no Soleil, so thats good, their skill sets are quite bizarre. Especially Xander. CC on a Dancer is strange, he also comes with Odd Def Wave...
Oh no.

Now there's also coloured Dagger units, I really don't get the point?

I have to disagree, I'm probably going to be pulling from green because I've been trying for Nino, Camilla, and Barst. Then red, because these are probably going to be Micaiah and Elincia's only alts. If I have extra orbs, I'll go colorless 'cause I need Serra anyway.

Good luck with that, I was about to save my orbs until I saw the reveal trailer for this banner, but as much as I like Xander with CC, I'm not summoning on this banner.

Why is it so hard to save orbs ;-;

Lol, I was thinking about how stupid Xander was when he was dancing. I might eventually summon for Xander, but I need to desperately get S!Linde for Starfish.

Every single orb I can muster is going to be dropped in that banner. If I don’t get Xander and Ryoma I might cry.

Same here, I'm going for Xander now. I can't skip this banner, I really want to see Xander dancing on the battlefield.

You're lucky that you aren't like me, I would spend all my time getting valued unit that I want and get pity broken.

Not necessarily,I spend my orbs on any unit I want (The most I ever saved was around 270) it's just I dont want none of them,but there very much welcomed as a free summon though.

I don't get the colored daggers either, we definitely didn't need colored bows, it would have been fine to make Lyn and Lucina colorless if only to at least cycle Grima around. Now with colored Daggers, I'm scared for the future of colorless. If people are still complaining about "colorless Hell" and it's mostly about healer, then there's 2 simple solutions. 1. Readjust the healers skill pool so that the healer exclusive "+" skills are locked to 5* and all the Special, A, B and C skills are available at 4* so at least you get fodder of some kind and 2. Demote Mist. HARD. I think at this point she is the ONLY healer pitybreaker not worth being 5* exclusive.

Also, to answer the main question, it'll be tough resisting dancing Elincia, but I'll keep on saving orbs.

The skills are tempting, but I don't really care.

The only thing I'm tempted to know is how much Def does Xander have, as he's got Odd Def Wave.

Odd Def isn't as big of a deal as something like Atk/Spd. Defensive buffs are likely ran by supporting units as it is, so it's better to have that along with extra stacks (my Henry runs Atk Smoke, others can run Ploys) and they can have it all the time than only one turn or the other.

Not me. Kimono Micaiah, I want her! Also kimono Elincia, they are two of my favorite Tellius girls so I want them both! Micaiah gets a slight edge in priority though. Also it's really nice seeing some more Tellius seasonals other than Bride Sanaki. Still find it weird though that despite his massive popularity Ike hasn't gotten a seasonal alt yet, he is still the only CYL 1 unit that hasn't gotten a seasonal alt yet.

My prediction: Ike gets a Halloween variant...forced on him by his sister Mist. XD

As for me, going for red and green for either of the two ladies.

I will probably skip this banner, not because it's uninteresting (the weapons would be nice) but because dancers aren't that much a part of my play style and I want to summon on the soon-to-end summer banner. Also, I actually find that I'm doing fine now against what I encounter that we have Masked Marth. I have three anti-dragons in Marth, Masked Marth, and one-shot A.Tiki; I can usually deal with Nowi using Anna or S.Elise. Against cavalry I have a TA+raven H.Henry and other units to fight them in normal manner; against armours I either fight them normally or with WF Hinoka.

As for coloured bows and daggers, there are certain advantages:
- L.Lyn isn't affected by green TA+raven mages, who are somewhat common as anti-Reinhardt/B.Lyn or just because someone wanted to fill a green spot in their horse team. The other thing is that this type of mage often uses bowbreaker, to which L.Lyn is immune.
- L.Lyn also gains 10-ish points of atk against lance fliers, who are some of the most common and strongest among fliers. Since they tend to be extremely fast and Lyn is probably giving away her spd buff, the OHKO potential is excellent.
- L.Lucina has enough atk to one-shot red mages, which is good because her res is quite thin. She can do it against some blue mages, but only the squishy ones. Also, like green bow Lyn, she's immune to bowbreaker.
- These coloured daggers are dancers, which means they will need to fight with a BST disadvantage. They could go full-on glass cannon, which is the way some ranged units (a class accustomed to BST disadvantage) deal with the challenge, but that's not necessarily what you want on a dancer. Instead, you can use TA and content yourself to checking one colour, satisfied that the rest of your team will take care of everything else.

Speaking about BowBreaker, I hope there isn't any 'Blue/Green/Red BowBreaker' because that would be pointless.

If we can't break dragonstones, these weapons will probably remain unbreakable also. Besides, it's so niche it probably wouldn't be practical.

I may do the first circle but aside from the weapons I don't really care for amy of them. I'm slightly incensed as battle dancing is a rare and special thing in Fire Emblem, not something anyone can do if they wear a kimono so I'm slightly ignoring their existence.

Also, Soleil couldn't be included as she is known to be a dreadful dancer and the worst singer in the realm.

Ah sorry. Just a tad annoyed I didn't bother rewatching for details, I was hoping for new dancers from the older games, not insults to the real dancers.

I'll definetly skip this banner, i don't use dancers outside training tower and in some GHB/BHB/LHB, their BST is awful, daggers are the worst type of weapon in the current meta, effective weapon of low BST units are kinda useless since they don't have much stats to spare for atk and their weapon effect is awful.
Maybe i'll do a circle since i need characters for merge projects

But if you steal their weapons there are characters that will actually use them to cause headaches for the meta.

Vantage is not that common of a skill that i need to spend orbs to get those weapons, dagger units are not relevant and their BST is too low to be used in arena

Hardy bearing isn't the point. That actually makes these weapons harder to use. It's the armour or dragon effectiveness.

Dragons and armors all have high def, while dagger users atk isn't good enought to oneshot them, if you can't oneshot them they will just kill you back since all armors run DC and dragons have Lightning breath

Which is why I designed builds that can actually tank enough to expect to function against the current meta. Lightning breath doesn't hit that hard if you have mixed defenses, and Saizo is good against most armours because his def is high. Effective damage does compensate for low atk, and in Kagero's case you actually CAN look for OHKOs. If you actually calculate instead of just assuming their defenses are too high you'll find that there's actually potential.

Dancing Dagger units with an effective weapon and low bst is stupid I would agree. You have your own reasons, and I have 50/50 chance of spending orbs.

I'm saving orbs for CYL2 or whatever good character gets released, around 300 orbs for now, if they were swords/lance/axe units with those wepons i could have given a thought about them since their effective weapons would have been goos that way
