Who's better?

Hi, I've got 5 4☆Effie (so a possible +4 merged 5☆Effie) and a +Def/-Res Hardin, who should I use in my armor emblem?

I was also wondering: is Grima better than Fae (who's easier to merge)?

Well. Give us the IV’s of the Effie. You may have one that would trump Hardin. I like Hardin, but I gotta go with My Fair Effie half the time. Or W!Robin.

And for Grima, it depends. He has the highest attack in the game with a super boon, and his defenses fare well, but Fae has better defenses and not as grand attack. Do you need a tank, a damage dealer or both? Because both units have a lot of potential, I just prefer Grima myself. He took out the Infernal Ursula GHB map all by himself.

My Effie's best IVs are +Res/-Spd; thanks to the superboon, two Ward buffs and (maybe) Berkut's Lance she reaches 42 (or more) Res I think.

For Grima: I probably need a more offensive unit in my Dragon Emblem, but I don't have yet him and I wonder if spending many orbs for him is worth (If not +Atk he is not so impressive).

Ahh, yes, that would make a great DC build for Effie. Plus it’s the speed bane, so that won’t hurt anything else for her build. :)

I always say Grima is worth it, but that’s because my experiences with him have pulled me out of the gutters when I should’ve sunk right in. And even if he doesn’t have a +Atk, he’s still a really good unit from what I hear from others. I can’t say anything because I got incredibly lucky and pulled a +Atk/-Spd, so you’ll have to hear from one of the others about a neutral attack Grima.

Honestly, I really love my Dragon Emblem team, with Nowi, grima, A!Tiki and Myrrh.

I think A!Tiki has a lot more merit in her than Y!Tiki (I always have), and the one on my team doesn’t even have all that great IV’s, but she still manages to destroy things easily.

57 attack with summoner support (61) with a further Atk/Spd Bond(66) is devastating, along with an ally support(68) and with any dragon/armor attack boost (74) attack is very impressive

Can't really say since, a lot of the time, it's based on preference. Hardin has a DC weapon which can free up his A slot, but has -Res. Effie needs DC to "compete" with Hardin's DC weapon, and will usually have Berkut's Lance to make her more of a mixed tank.

Grima vs Fae, hard to say. Grima has more weakness than Fae. Armor-Emblem killing weapons, Falchion, AND Naga, while Fae is only weak to Falchion and Naga.

Again, it's up to preference.

Obviously, Fae is easier to merge because she is always available, while Grima is limited time and is 5 star only

Grima isn't limited time, though. He IS going to be 5-star exclusive, no doubt about it, but IS already stated that all the Fallen Heroes (excluding Takumi, because he's a GHB unit) will always be avaliable.

You're not wrong, though - Fae is easier due to how it's easier to get more of her... but Grima would be the overall better option, in my opinion.

Well, seeing as Hardin is 5* exclusive, getting multiple copies would be difficult. A heavily merged Effie will have more arena weight. So use the Effie in Arena.

Just summoned another Hardin (+Spd/-Hp xp), with my last orbs. I don't think I'll merge him with the other one, I should fodder him for Bold Fighter, shouldn't I?
