I remember it so vividly. Just under two weeks of the game since the launch, had a really crappy day. The first ever banners were ending, did some story quests for orbs, and decided to desperately pull from the Deep Devotion banner before it ended. And there it was, puff of smoke, and the cutscene played. I finally got a Takumi. I was so close to scream with joy because I wanted him so badly (and a plus atk -res to boot!) So yeah, Takumi was the first five star that I was ecstatic for.
(the ironic part is I never use him anymore, but hey, he's pretty much a trophy at this point)
I remember like it was yesterday. I just installed the game after my friend convinced me. Once I finished the tutorial I decided to do a summon. Then I saw the animation and it was Lucina, I wasn't expecting much since my luck with gacha games have been s(h)it lately. But this game is a different story, I need to start investing in her though. Before Skill Inheritances was a thing, i used up most of her sp on her base kit, which I regret.
I got the game the second or third day it was released. Some time during that week I managed to get 5* Marth and Roy. Considering their appearances in the GameCube smash bros. spurred me to get the first US iteration of FE back in '03, I was pretty stoked.
However, the first 5* I was super happy about was Ephraim. I had pulled Eirika, Julia and Ogma from the SS banner days before and was praying for some blue orbs. When I saw Ephraim appear, I believe I did several fist pumps. It was a good day. He's been a mainstay in my army ever since.
The five star I was most hyped about was Camilla I remember all my friends pulling Spring Camillas and I never got her flash forward a month later I grinded a few orbs and went to summon and my heart stopped when I saw the dust, then the flash of her hair and I screamed with joy I finally pulled Camilla it was one of the best days I ever had.
I remember when Olwen was announced, I definitely loved her artwork and her weapon, even if Reinhardt was better I wanted her but I didn't pulled her. It was sad, more when she became a 5* only unit.
Then Summer Robin appeared, once again I loved her artwork being so different so I tried to pull her and all of a sudden, Olwen appears. I was surprised, because it was so random but I was happy, specially when I found out she's +Atk -Res. I still use her since she's so powerful in Horse Emblem. Then I pulled two Summer Robin, one was +Res -Atk and the other was neutral. I'm still so happy to have both of them.
Summoned or upgraded to 5 star? Nino was my first upgraded to 5 star I was really happy about. +Spd -Def, carried me through a lot of the game and still one of my best units. Summoned though, Eirika, around the same time. Eirika during her bonus time in arena, with M Robin, Tharja, and Nino was my favorite team. They wrecked in that early meta. I loved Nino as a character in Blazing Sword, just not as a unit due to the crazy amount of training you have to give her to get her up there. Sacred Stones similarly, I loved Eirika and Ephraim. Still haven't pulled an Ephraim though :/
To be honest my first 5* has been my favorite pull so far. I installed the game on day two and over a week had passed by with no five star. I was upset but my team consisted of 4*'s Est, Camilla, Nino and Virion. By this point my friend ( who no longer plays) had gotten not 1, not 2, but 3 5* Marths. So I was getting a little peeved because Marth, Mrobin, and Tiki(Y) were some the characters I wanted to pull. So I started a new summoning session when I had 20 orbs and I had 1red, 3blue, and 1colorless. So I started with the colorless and worked my way to the red. I pulled 3gordin 3shanna 3est and a 4catria so by this point I starting to feel like I was never going to a five star. So I pulled the red orb and it felt like the world was in slow motion when the shadow appeared it was none other than Ryoma, I was so happy I got someone so awesome that people rarely have as my first five star. But sadly the joy did not last as a couple of months later once the meta and stats/ivs were being confirmed and set. I found out he was -atk +res. He still was a good mage killer when I used him though.
It was the second day I had the game installed on my phone. I didn't have the same kind of luck most people had; getting a 5 star after completing the tutorial. But I had saved up enough orbs to do a full summon. I had no one in mind to pull really, so it was cool I got at least one orb of every color. I got your run of the mill Bartre and Lon'qu. But, when I selected that one blue orb I saw the dust blast away from the summoning rock and the glow made my heart skip. Amongst the fog trod the man wielding Siegmund. I had received my favorite lord in all of Fire Emblem, Ephraim. I still use him as one of my go to units, his IVs are unparalleled, and I continue to build him even to this day.
I got the game the 2nd day after it came out.. and when i was walking home,not really knowing anything about the game, i summoned, and then, i saw young tikis animation. I was so happy, because she was a five star, and she was so cool looking. After finding out about ivs, i found out she was +spd -res.
I started one day after Ike's banner became active. I collected all the orbs I could using the f2p characters, pulled, uninstalled, collected orbs again.
I finally pulled Ike after quite a few uninstalls. He was +spd -res, as luck would have it, a few more Ikes would show up, but they had crap IVs, so I merged them into the the +spd guy. He's been working out great so far.
My first 5* is Leo, followed by Roy.
They're fine, but what makes me the happiest is...
When I summoned Reinhardt.
Pre SI, everyone's complaining how his speed makes him a low tier unit (and my first Rein is +spd btw) - and that Olwen is better than him.
I kept using him despite what everyone said, since he can oneshot Takumi and takes care of most thing, even Hector with his charged specials.
My personal first 5 star was a Jeorge who carried me through the missions. He fell off lv40 though, turns out he was -atk ;-; A few 5 stars later and I found myself with Summer Robin, who was amazing and I immediately gave her all the skills she needed for the generalist build. I still use her often, unlike Jeorge. since Lance Valor is super useful.
when I downloaded this game on day 1 I really wanted my boy Roy. everyone around me got roy at 4* and I was just getting henrys (when the game first came out Henry carried me and I still remember him). when I got home I did some quests and got some orbs. MFW I summoned my first roy and he was a 5* too, I cant explain how happy I was. A week later I find out that he was a +ATK -Spd and I still use him to this day, +1 and same IV, he has 9999 SP He is the only reason I play every day. I have never forgot that day and never will. I forgot to say my friend wanted marth and he got the 4* roy, the next day I pulled a marth and he got mad and quit the game I never felt so good about myself :)
My first 5* pulls were +SPD -HP M!Robin, +SPD -ATK Y!Tiki, and +ATK -SPD Hawkeye. Those were pretty excited as I didn't know about rerolling when I started playing and my strongest unit up until then had been a 4* Eliwood. It was also cool as the first two were pretty much the preinheritance antimeta. Though, of the three, M!Robin is the only one I still use on a regular basis.
Since then... S!Corrin was probably my happiest pull. From launch, I'd put about $20 dollars a month into this game... But I had just spent significantly more than that on the Alm/Celica Army banners and gotten nothing. So I decided to go F2P until Sigurd was released and then immediately pulled +SPD -RES S!Corrin as my first F2P pull. Needless to say, I felt like I'd made the right decision (even though I didn't pull a single CYL unit in the recent banner).
