Who should be my free 5★ pull?

So I couldn't decide who to get as my guarunteed Brave pull, so I figured I'd have a go at the normal Arrival of the Brave banner, and I lucked out big-time. I got both B!Celica and B!Ephraim on my very first pull. Now I'm trying to decide who to grab for free. Should I get Veronica to go with Celica, or Hector to go with Ephraim? I've only been playing seriously for a couple months, so the only other 5★ healer I have is Elise, and the only good armored unit I have is a +6Effie. Thoughts on who I should pull?

I vote for Veronica. She can attack without the foe counterattacking, AND she buffs her allies and debuffs her enemies in the process.

AND she comes with Wrathful Staff.

AND she has access to Cavalry buffs.

with a +6 Effie that Hector would be competing against Veronica is probably the better choice.

I chose Veronica and She's a Beast! She has a lot of value for all game modes not called "Arena".

I don't know, Veronica is one of the bonus units for arena now and my neutral +1 Veronica with Close Counter (A) and Close Defense (S) is killing it in tier 21. She scores about the same as the Askr trio and I'm having a much easier time consistently getting 3-4 kills with her than I did last season with Alfonse.

Right now sure, but when she's not a bonus unit her Arena value is going to tank compared to all the other Brave Heroes, such is the nature of an insanely crappy BST focused system.

For players who are at a point where they have some decently merged units, but aren't whales, none of these units are particularly relevant.

I think it makes more sense to prioritize pulling 5* exclusives that offer something unique, provide utility on a large variety of maps, and offer good skill inheritance. For this reason I've prioritized Veronica (to use) and Celica (mainly for fodder).

unless you are very passionate about a specific character or want merges, the best pick at least in my opinion is Veronica.

she is incredibly helpful at clearing content in the game and even helped me beat both Legendary hero battles on Abyssal difficulties. an offensive healer with amazing debuffs, basically free damage thanks to dazzling+wrathful staff, and she fits into almost any team.

the only thing holding her back is her low BST for arena scoring but even then she is the best scoring healer atm.

I picked Veronica and she is great. No regrets. She is not good for Tier 20 arena but everywhere else she is amazing.
