who said Fgrima cant be tanky?

res+hp- grima sits around with 37hp/30def/29res. while normally it doest sound all that great due to alot of mega tanks out there but hear me out. with the free brazen def/res given out for free if u slap it on her she gain 7/7 def res. she cant use breathes anyways and works on both phase unlike dragonskin. (dragonskin still useful for archer counter) give her guard/renewal or wrath for blocking specials/provide heals or deal massive damage.
under 80% hp she now has 37/36 def res. add 1 fortify flier and she sits at 43/42. my NY camilla and NYazura both use their normal weapon and ward fliers giving her massive 12/12. makes grima at 55/54. summoner+ally support and she hits 59/58. +10 merge her and thats 63/62 def res with 41 hp. u can overkill it with CD3 or DD3, or even lote shield to tank archers. on a defensive tile, who can kill her? ur gunna need one hella buffed falchion to try KO her. threaten atk or atk smoke will make her even harder to kill

her natural A slot is better than brazen def/res trust me. she can be fairly tanky but her natural A slot is generally better than other A slots if you want a tank build.

i choose brazen over dragonskin because in my team she isnt a archer check as i have camilla with a def boon+DC to deal with archers. as well as lote shield seal. brazen also works on both phase meaning she keeps the +7/7 when initiating making her bonfire/ignis more powerful. dragonskin wont gain the +4 when initiating and may result in death from retaliation

Most units with that kind of support can be that tanky/good tbh...........

Like....delthea can reach 40+ def. Should you go for it? It will help her matchups againt dc units. The answer is no....its not optimal.

Her job is to check the first unit she encounters. All she needs are goads so she doesnt get outsped by blade mages (maybe a ward for falchions/nagas) and shes set. What you are loosing in making her the best tank possible is team synergy and flexibility......

delthea doesnt come with CC meaning she loses out on Aslot if u wish to give her CC. and robin can always switch sets in order to deal with naga/falchion. even then she has amazing synergy with the team and a flier emblem has the best flexibility in my opinion. azura and camilla can both effectively give +6/6 with weapon and wards but can also add spurs and drives on seals. S!corrin azura and camilla cover the color triangle and are best users of reposition.

um ur kinda missing the point of the post (which was expected tbh). its just a post to say that robin can be a tank where as many dissed her for not being as tanky as Mgrima. nvr said no other unit can tank. what is optimal or not is purely up to the player/playstyle/team. just cos one build is better then the other most the time doesnt make it optimal if its not what u need that unit for. simply using her to check bladetomes is purely useless if not against bladetomes.

With that many buffs and defensive skills, which unit doesn't become tanky? Nice try attemping to make an underwhelming unit sound op.

Lrobin provides blessing that no other flier can do so thats +1 effective. she comes with DC +1 effective. colorless dragon +1 effective. my point was that she can become a scary tank not be the best tank out there. she is also a legendary hero meaning she will come often on legendary banners making her more easier to merge then some units that have to be a pitybreaker or once in a while focus banner. nice try attempting to be a negative nancy. imo she is the most well rounded tanker if everyone can tank.
she has decent res if Boon, decent def, good spd, meh atk but doesnt matter much as she is a dragon and bonfire is 30+ damage. hp is the only below average stat for a tank.

Bold Fighter Zelgius with Black Luna will kill her. Even with CD3 that's around 90 defense on defensive tile but only means 18 defense to Zelgius, plus your 32 hp (below 80%) that's 50 bulk at max, meaning any Zelgius without atk bane will do. Prior to brazen treshold, that's a bit harder with about 80 def means 16 to him, plus 41 hp that's 57, still reachable with a bit of buff or Death Blow, or just weird Zelgius with Wo Dao Bold Fighter can ORKO her.
Also, brazen skills is unreliable due to the 80% hp treshold, you need to find some opponent to hit you just hard enough to activate but not too hard as well to make your hp too low, also doesn't work well with QR3.

the only way u will ever run into him is arena and MAYBE grand conquest. that being said zelgius is slow and can easily be dealt with Bladetome S!corrin. every hero is gunna have a counter to keep the game balanced. and arena is just super easy to deal with due to next update making things easier as well as kinda predictable AI. so even if there is a zelgius. it is no problem for robin as she can run loops around him. zelgius either needs his warp skill or a dancer and armorboots to even try to catch the player offguard. wo dao is meaningless ig guard 3 is choosen as B skill as his special wont proc against robin and makes him unable to counteratk S!corrin. zelgius is a walking powerhouse yes. but only to the player. robin is a tanky flier and given not many fliers can tank as well as her. only mention is myrrh but is super weak to reds like zelgius and falchions. robin has build in DC, can fly over terrain that zelgius cant and can tank both melee and magic in which zelgius can only do one and wont survive against high atk dragons
guard will protect her from specials killing her above 80% and under 80% brazen will proc giving her more def/res to blow away with using bonfire/ignis
