"Who to promote"/20k Time topic :D

I'm quite unsure who to promote this time around, so here are my options:

Charlotte:

Been considering to give her one of Firesweep, Killer (yes, a fucking Killer shutup I have a thing) and sometimes L&D3. Arguably my favorite character, so there's a bit of bias as well as she does already have Silver & Ridersbane.

+Def/-Atk

Katarina:

Just got her yesterday. Been wanting her for a long time, and I could just about celebrate by giving her a Blade tome. However, she'd still want Fury & Desperation (I prefer Fury for extra Atk/Res + Enemy Phase).

+Atk/-HP

Clarisse:

My current S-support. On Brave, L&D and a Spd Seal to top it all off at 38 Spd. Easily my MVP, so I'm somewhat considering L&D3 for a better Arena score and maybe the extra Atk/Spd...?

Felicia:

Had her for a while, convinced that I'd be able to 4*+10 at some point. Reality is, she's been 4*+2 for months and while I am somewhat content with her Poison Dagger offense, I want to have her on Fury for the much better (and actually viable) mage tanking. However, her offense is pretty underwhelming with the lesser Atk/Spd, which is why a promotion will make her significantly better + better Arena scoring.

Guess these are my top considerations thus far. I have to admit L&D3 may not be utmost necessary for either Charlotte or Clarisse. And if Katarina has Fury + Desperation and Spd Seal, she could probably make it through with proper Owl Tome usage?

Charlotte is only a limited edition unit right now, so she is already a 5*. Do you mean someone else?

Also, looking further, Katarina is also 5* only. You cannot upgrade a 5* any further.

I say go for Felicia. Clarisse is terribly outclassed.

I believe the question he's asking is who wants the skills mentioned more, thus determining who he will 5 star to pass those skills on.

I'm going to theorycraft but I hope I give you some ideas:

Charlotte may be good with Firesweep, but I would use Fury instead to take advantage of that Def boon. She might need a Speed seal to reach 38 but that's enough to avoid some doubles.

Katarina works wonder in a Fury + Desperation build, less HP makes it easier to reach the HP range but it also makes her physically fragile. She might need the Speed seal to double more units but enough buffs (with Blade tome) will give her a lot of power thanks to her Atk boon. I would prefer Blade instead of Owl because it is kinda difficult to use, sadly they have low Mt and you need good positioning most of the time.

Clarisse may be fine. Summoner Support gives her a very needed boost and if you have B!Lucina, use them in the same team. She gives a bow user +3/+6 Atk/Spd, wonderful for quads (specially if you add Hone buffs, that equals +10 Spd if done right). If you have her, then use Fury for bulk.

With Felicia I'm not so sure about that HP bane, somehow it kills her mage tankiness. Since she's kinda common I would wait for a -Def. +Atk for damage, +Spd to double and avoid doubles or +Res for tankiness/Glacies overkill, it's your choice.

Personally, carry on your wayward one (sorry, had to do that). Is pretty good to have a Blade mage of every color and also you wanted her for a long time, it would be good to level her up now since it's finally weekend. Then go with Charlotte (or you can go with her first, she's a great unit), then Clarisse and later Felicia.

Yeah, sometimes I find myself thinking of giving Charlotte L&D3 until I remember I could use that +Def to her advantage, even if it isn't massive (still considerable amount, especially with her HP).

Clarisse should be off the table for now, as the extra +1 of both isn't really all that noticeable (especially in every non-Arena mode).

I'd consider what you say about Felicia. -HP could cut her a bit short of avoiding 2HKO's from stronger ones, and it's not like less Def will make a noticeable difference.

That's a nice Charlotte, +Def gives her +4 so she will be great at destroying Horse Emblem teams. I always try to use boons to my advantage, even if it looks bad. Because you can build your units as you want, it makes the theorycrafting more fun.

For Felicia even if the difference is minimal, every stat counts. Even if some people say -HP is the bane to go for a lot of units because you can use an HP seal to compensate it I think it affects them at tanking and also you're using a valuable S slot. That's why I prefer a -Def for her so you can use that S slot for something else.
