Who do i give distant counter to?

I have a basic hector, who i don't use that much. I have him built up but with the insane power creep recently, he has kinda fallen off. I would keep him, but i wanna make someone else really good. Just some simple suggestions will help.

Well geeze if Hector is the one not as good as he used to be on your team it's difficult to recommend a good one. I'd wait a day or two for news on a potential update. Hector outclasses Sheena and Effie, and most other tanks, even with a few merges for the most part which use DC well.
Myrrh, Mia, Caeda, Eirika, F Corrin and a few other high res Pegasus knights like Clair and Florina can make good use of it at high merges, but most DC builds might be costly with them. The weapon refines we're about to get might make use of it. The newer units like surtr and even Laegjarn aren't bad either. Again, I'd hold on to it a bit. I have a feeling they are waiting for the smash release to give usore news.

Also, I agree that he has fallen off a bit. I have a null sword unit I use a lot that has me looking forward to seeing fighter skill Hectors.

Don't do anything until 3.0. There will be new refines, new units. You might regret it if you fodder him off now.

Hector is a better DC user than half the units people usually fodder it off to, but there are a few that shine. Myrrh, Zephiel, B!Ephraim, BoF Tiki, Summer Tiki... but it should really be reserved for a unit that will eventually be +10. You don't want a +0 Myrrh sitting in your barracks while your +10 Arena Sheena is sitting there wishing you had DC fodder.

Well... what would there be to regret to giving a unit you need to have DC? like. regardless of the updates and refines and new units, there are still the old units who you're not just going to abandon. I figure let 3.0 take care of itself.

the answer is - the DC should go to the unit you will use the most
you also should think of who benefits from DC the most.
Myrrh - quite frankly needs distant counter (and if not that steady stance 3) - to help with her slowness and still allows her to keep her best asset (her great flame weapon). (and. there is no reason w you can't have a +10 Myrrh, eventually. because i can tell you right now - I have more Myrrhs than I have of Sheenas).
