Which units should I +10

I'm planning to 5*+10 some units, and the rarity drops make that more plausible. Which 3-4* that could be classified as all-rounders should I turn into +10s

Narrow down to the dragons on that list as well as Hana and you got some 5* merging projects that pay off at least.

Honestly, these are the ones I've seen that pay off the most in my opinion due to their good stat coverage and niches/ weapons/ etc.
*Male Morgan (Fast Red Mage, somewhat good personal weapon)
*Marth (Dragon Killer, Support)
*L'Arachel (Horse Emblem, wonderful special weapon)
*Reinhardy (No denying, he's easy to build despite the cheese potential he'll forever have)
*Sothe (The best offensive dagger we got currently)
*Tailtiu/Mae (Both are the broke man's Linde)
*Cordelia (Probably one of the best offensive fliers to this day)
*Effie (Highly offensive armor unit)
*Soren (Special Legendary weapon with good speed and magic soak)
*Nino (She always does her best, and that remains true to this day)
*Klein (Somewhat okay for a colorless bow within most of the expanding meta still)
*Lilina (Forblaze and her one hit KO potential)
*Lukas (A wall of sorts that is pretty good offensively too)
*Raven (An extreme glass cannon with wonderful legendary weapon)

These should be ones to look at as they still fulfill great roles in the current state of the game.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. A bunch of these characters do not need to be 5* merged.

Effie is well worth it, as are virtually all the dragons and Nino. Soleil is another great candidate. Raven is fine since his prf weapon is so good; but you only need to merge if planning on running a heavy blade seal to make sure you proc heavy blade on edge cases. Cordelia and Soren are decent choices. Obviously don't build a Soren and a Nino without doing some other units first.

Characters that only rely on one or two stats really do not need to be 5* merged. They can either be 5* without merging or a 4* merge.

Most of the mages you listed can be built as 4* merge for a fraction of the cost of a full 5* merge, even if you level them up to run the + version of a weapon (exception being if you choose to run a prf tome; but nearly every mage on this list has a great blade tome build). Lukas is a no brainer 4* merge. Klein really only uses one Stat and is a total waste as a merge candidate.

Any and all units (aside from GHB and TT units) can benefit from being 5* +10. Whether it's worth it or not is up to each individual. Some people find making a 5* +10 of someone like Mae is not worth it, while some think it is.

The question was what units the OP should 5*+10. This pretty clearly implies a request for a value judgment, which is reasonable given the level of investment that we're talking about.

So, while you can say that all units deserve their participation trophies, there should be no question that units that are effective in the meta and really benefit from globally bulking stats, like Fae, Nowi and Effie, are much better merge projects than units like Klein that are really one trick ponies.

TL;DR - 5* +10 any unit you want. Every unit can serve a purpose.

Units in the "meta" could serve to be 5* +10, but saying that some units don't "have" to be is kinda irrelevant since all of the units don't have to be 5* +10 either unless you're *that* concerned about Arena.

A merge project doesn't have to imply "I'm using this to increase my Arena score, so give me everything meta" and there are some people that don't use Dragon Emblem, or Armor Emblem, that do well in Tier 20, if that's what's supposed to considered when doing merge projects.

Eh, if you say so. Most of those units are pretty strong at a 5 star rarity and from what I remember, they gain 4 points in all their stats at the end of day. Makes a pretty big difference to me anyway.

1)Ease of Access at 4 star or 3 rarity
2)Good Stats
3)Fairly Decent Niche or Role
4)Good Weapon/Good Reforging

I may be a bit biased on that one, to be honest, but Donnel is an extremely good unit. He's my current merge project and he's an excellent mixed tank.

Chrom(the ultimate dragon slayer), Tiki, Hana, Donnel, Robin(M)(requires his special to really deal a lot of damage, but he's a great mix tank) Nowi, Fae(I speak from personal experience to her potential) Raven(I believe he's able to achieve the highest attack value with his unique refine) and Nino.

You can +10 any character you like and they will generally do well in arena. With enough investment, you can make any unit viable. Just choose your fav characters and work on them.

However, no one has mentioned Eliwood yet, so allow me to show mine off.

It's true that armored/dragons are amazing for arena for scoring high. But the beauty of this game is that you can +10 nearly any unit and they'll be at least viable, except for maybe Odin. It's more fun to +10 someone you like.

A Tiki, Nowi, and Fae are all great options. Cherche, Olivia, Hana, Bartre, Sheena, Nino, Eliwood, Donnel, and Draug are all solid options too.
