Which unit should inherit distant counter?

A while back on the countering weapon skills banner I got lucky pulled a Hector on my free summon. This one is -def and +res, but regardless I was planning on foddering him for Distant Counter. As the title says, I'm not sure which unit should inherit distant counter out of WT Reinhardt, Roy and LA! Eliwood. I feel like Reinhardt works fine without DC but would be even better with DC. However, I had always wanted to give Roy and Eliwood DC so I'm sort of leaning towards these two.

Roy is probably the better one with distant counter between him and his father, because quick ripost 5 and bracing stance really help him tank attacks of both types. then you can seal him with close or distant defense depending on what needs to be blocked.

pick between reinhardt or roy. Reinhardt is pretty absurd with vantage and distant counter allowing him to instant double during any phase as well as being able to quad during enemy phase with quick reposte seal. Roy isn't as powerful but a little bit tankier and has anti dragon. His QR 5 effect is significantly weaker than reinhardt's but he gets generally more utility. In my personal opinion reinhardt has a lot more power with distant counter as it allows him to nuke mages and archers during enemyphase wherease Roy is better with a breath skill. Roy is strong but distant counter shouldn't take priority over boosting his defensive stats.

This is how i plan to build my Rein when i get DC, the plan is to buff him and throw him in the middle of enemy's army.

And then watch them all die!

(the plan is to hit twice, then get attacked and survive, and attack twice again, and you are probably both in vantage range and with miracle active, just in case of an slip off)

Coz for Rein savage blow is 7 hp taken out of units in range regardless what happens, while +atk seal can be +8, +6 or +4 dmg. Similar how def smoke works, if you debuff every1 in the range, reds take 14 dmg more from his weap, blues take 10 more, and greens around 18.

Quick Riposte is not needed, coz he is not meant to take more than one attack from the enemy.

SCENARIO:

Lets say he is against Nowi, +def +10, all put into def, its 47 def and 54 hp. Rein already deleted some1 (without taking dmg, coz thats the plan, miracle is at 3) and now Nowi is going against him.

Nowi attacks, taking him to like 25hp, he responds taking her to overall 35hp (54 - 7 from previous savage - 12 dmg dealt at response), Nowi attack again so Rein procs miracle and survives. If there is no one as tanky as Nowi around, he just kills whatever comes next (hope no razzle-dazzle or firesweep/windsweep but its our job to make sure there is none) and then retreats on our turn (or we attack some1 else with him and debuff Nowi again and bring her to 28hp, but its still not enough, but by that time another unit reaches the fray and can finish her).

Even if he has QR, he wont kill her, same goes for +3 atk, but he will survive her on any occasion. The difference is, when he initiates every1 gets scratched for 7 dmg, which is rly helpful.

Ofc QR makes him closer to next Miracle, but after combat he has 3 stacks, if he gets attacked and responds with vantage, he is left at 1, and if he does not kill that enemy, then he bites to dust anyway, and if he does kill the enemy, he didnt needed that Miracle anyway.
