Which red horse to build first?

Got a Brave Roy+1, Ares (both +Atk/-Def), a Sigurd (+Atk/-Res) and an SM!Eirika (+Res/-HP) here.

I have yet to build a solid Cavalry team and I'm wondering which red unit would be best to build first and why.

I considered Xander too but I feel he's a little outclassed at this point. Although feel free to correct me on that.

Any input is appreciated.

These are all great choices. In my opinion, Sigurd shines the most both in and out of cavalry teams, with a unique skillset and role that make him (again, in my opinion) one of the best red units in the game by far. However, Brave Roy and Ares are both excellent even in the competitive sword cavalry group, and Eirika is fantastic--I would recommend building her ASAP.

I think Xander is critically underrated, especially as a free unit, but he easily pales to Sigurd in terms of enemy phase behavior. I have all of these sans Eirika raised and built, and they all serve slightly different but equally important roles on assorted teams! There's not a bad way to go.
