Which IVs to use? And fodder or merge spares?

So the Thracia banner has gotten me Lucina and Tana back to back, no Reinhardts, and I am actually referring to the now 3-4* summonable one because I've only been able to summon 2 of him previously both 5* and both -atk. And I already have one each of both Lucina and Tana.

So for Lucina my current built up one is +spd/-hp and the new one is +spd/-def. Which do people thing is better? And should I merge or save the other as maybe Aether fodder for someone later on? Although I do have a couple 4* Chrom sitting around should I need him for Aether fodder.

And for Tana my current one is +hp/-res and the new one is +spd/-atk. Again which is better, +spd looked great but -atk was the one thing that had to make it possibly not as good as the other one? And should I merge or save her for guidance fodder later on?

Thanks in advanced for any suggestions!

For Lucina, definitely keep +spd/-hp. Her new Falchion can help her become more of a brawler, and take some physical hits with the defense boost. -HP also helps her get under HP thresholds such as desperation, wrath, and brazen skills (if you're using them.)

She already has good HP, and the bane is directly made up for when she gets refined Falchion, which puts her right back up to neutral HP.

Also, you should merge her instead of foddering her off for Aether. That extra merge could net you 1 more spd and hp stat, which is really nice. She's 5* exclusive, and isn't on too many banners, so I highly recommend not foddering her off. Although it kind of sucks to spend 20,000 feathers for Aether, it's definitely more worth it than getting rid of a 5* exclusive.

My Lucina is currently running Vantage maybe not the best B but with LnD3 and commonly I'll slap Heavy Blade 3 seal on her if I'm going to use her has allowed her on many occasions to proc Vantage Aether on enemy initiation after she one rounded a different enemy. So the lowered hp threshold still helps regardless currently
