Which IVs for Alm

I have two Alms and I want to refine his Falchion. One is +HP/-Spd, the other one is +Res/-Def. Which one should I keep? I’m not sure if I should go with the Windsweep Build? Thanks!

I'd say take the +HP -Spd.
He'll make fantastic use of Panic Ploy and CA3 is better than Windsweep anyways, so you don't have to worry about that Speed :-)

I'd say the +res/-def cause If you are going for the windsweep build then you need that speed and so Alm can somewhat survive against magic attacks.

Windsweep is only useful on a +speed Alm and using Phantom speed on top of it. Alm has a base speed of 30. It seems no one reviews his statline before offering advice.

It's not about him being doubled. My point was to use his speed to his advantage with Phantom Speed and Windsweep to deal with melee, or Watersweep if you really wanted to deal with dragons to take full advantage of his Falchion refinement.

It's about preference, like 99% of FEH.

Hey you're entitled to your opinion, but even with phantom speed fully upgraded and windsweep Alm will be slower that a lot of speedy sword (or lance) users so unless he's +speed you've created a niche build that doesn't even perform it's niche all that well.

That's what teammates are for. I'm obviously not gonna send Alm to battle with just himself. It's a 4-person squad so the teammates can cover their ally's weakness. Hence why things like Hone/Fortify/Goad/Ward/Spur/Drive skills exist.

Thx guys! I think I might go with the -Spd...
For me it’s not worth it to give up two slots (CA or SB on B-Slot and Heavy Blade or Atk+3 Seal) for a weaker Firesweep effect..
