Which feels worse?

I think I'd rather get the unit then not getting the unit at all, as long as I like the character then I'm willing to make them work even with bad IV's ^^

That's tough because they are 2 entirely different kinds of disappointment.
I would say not getting them at all, because at least you can use them even if they have crappy IV's.

Not getting the unit. While I have a BURNING HATRED for -Atk/-Spd IVs, I’m at least glad I have the jpeg of my desired unit.

Plus I’m still holding on hope that they’ll introduce a reverse IV feature someday and it’ll let me turn my -Spd B!Celica into a +Spd one. But that’s just wishful thinking.

Spending over 100 fp2 orbs to get pity broken at 4% by a -def +spd shiro

If you spent your time and hard-earned orbs gunning after a unit, getting the unit, but then not using them because of "bad IVs" then you probably didn't really want the unit to begin with. I'd rather get bad IVs then to not get the unit at all. Bad IVs are workable. Not getting the unit is not aside from substitutions.

I'm a collector, first and foremost. So I'd go for units with bad IVs than not getting them at all. I'm still using a lot of -Atk 5* exclusives because I wanted them.

When Nephenee first came out I instantly sniper for her.... took me 300 orbs to finally get her.... but she was -Def +Res..... Still used her all the way untill the banner when she got her refinement I sniped for her again and managed to get her with only 100 orbs and this time with +Def -Spd which is way better than the other with her spd/def stance refinement with QR3
