Which Brave Lyn

So I have a -hp +res B!Lyn and a neutral one. I want to merge them. Which one should I pick over the other

I'd go with +RES for superior mage dueling. You can patch up the missing HP with a seal, plus merging will give you +1 HP.

Don't merge any.
Use the +Res one until you get a better IV and then merge both of these two into the one with good IV's.
A 5*+anything merging into a 5* will only become a 5*+1.
The merges do not carry over...

Lol that is not carrying over its adding one...

A 5*+3 merged INTO a 5* becomes a 5*+1.
A 5* merged INTO a 5*+3 becomes a 5*+4.

Am I missing something?

You are missing something lol. Prior merges carry over no matter if they're merged into or are being merged into a fresh unit.. A 5+n merged into a 5 becomes a 5+(n+1). It works both ways.

Keep the one you have invested the most in so far.
Swift Sparrow is an incredibly awesome skill, so I'd recommend using it for another unit who needs it.

Agree with this. I think both Brave Lyn and Brave Ike aren't worth merging at all unless you're making a +10 whale since they both have some top tier skills worth inheriting off.

As for the topic question, I think both IVs are workable but the +Res helps slightly more to improve her performance as compared to the neutral one since the HP bane is easily patched up and resistance boon helps her to duel mages better.
