Which 4 star unit to promote later?

I am a F2P player and I just HM grinded and I now have 26,740 feathers.

What 4 star units should I promote later once I hit 40k?

Bartre (+Attack -Speed) Easy unit to access and he is getting a new Pref soon. Even if his new Pref is not great, still a great AA unit.

Priscilla (-Def +Res) I have fully invested a Razzle Dazzle combo and more horse healers would be nice.

Oscar (+Attack -Res) Pretty good Lance Cav and I have prepared a brave lance build for Oscar.

What are your goals in the game, and approximately how many 5* do you have that you can use in PvE and arena assault? (If it's 40+ that's all we need to know)

My goals are to collect my favorite units and slowly start to focus on competitive Arena. I have around 167 5 stars that I use for most content (not counting 4 star merges).

Ok, then I would suggest the following:
- hold on to most of your feathers until 3.0 update.
- if you really want to promote someone soon, wait at least until we find out what the new weapon refines will be
- set aside at least 40k feathers a month to merge up units you want to use in arena, preferably 60k and an extra every second or third month so you can complete a merge project every 3 months. If you have high-scoring units and skills, 10-12 merges total on the team (ex: a single +10 unit) will get you comfortably into T19.5 with some bonus kills.

Out of all of those choices, I'd go for Bartre since Oscar and Priscilla are outclassed whereas Barte's new refine might make a niche for him. For now, just wait and see if Bartre is worth it.

Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna if theyre not already.
After that grind to 220k feathers and then wait till you actually know what you need instead of burning feathers right away.
Macro farm for feathers as well.
