Where do the units sit so far?

So now that everyone has seen and experienced gameplay with the new units, where will they sit in the tier list? It hasn’t been updated in a while, but I’ll take a guess. This is what I’m thinking:

Hector: Tier 1
This requires no explanation. Has an INSANE move set with the best armor skill in the game and an improved distant counter and a weapon with guaranteed doubles. His defense and attack are great, and res wave more than covers his meh resistance.

Ephraim: Tier 2
He has the usual superboon of 40 Attack and he has even better defense than hector, but he suffers in other aspects. Most of his strength comes when haveing used armor march on him, and some teams don’t run that skill. Even without the buffs, he’s still really good and powerful. His skill set is good as well with a great new fighter skill.

Celica: Tier 1
She is just ‘woag’. While her damage seems abysmal for a top tier sword unit, that is easily mended by that +8 Attack she gets from that sexy new high tier skill death blow 4. Double Lion is also a really powerful skill that when Celica is paired with a healer or a unit that uses breath of life, she can pretty much quad most units in the game (besides obvious speedy ones like Ayra and Karla. And her speed. Oh man is she’s a speedy girl, and she has an extra boost with her fantastic weapon. Lastly, Attack tactic is also a great support skill that Celica utilizes beautifully.

Veronica: Tier 2
While Veronica lacks in the statline department (enough to bump her down a tier IMO) she is an EXTREMELY powerful healer with an insane weapon that buffs really well. She comes with an optimal skill set of course and gets a snazzy new special that also works really well with her role. Her stats on the other hand, aren’t too hot. Her defense and resistance are abysmal and she probably won’t survive a single hit from a tome or a physical unit. Her speed is decent and her attack is high for a staff unit, but the biggest grief with Veronica is her terrible BST, no surprise seeing as she suffers from being both a staff AND a calvalry. Ouch.

So there’s where I place them folks! Where do you think they will end up? What do you think of my list? Comment below!

I think I agree with you for now. It doesn't surprise me that hector is amazing since no matter what version he practically lives in tier 1. Veronica will defidently give Maribelle and Elise a run for their money. Ephraim, from what I've seen in comments thus far, has been used for special fighter fodder (poor guy), but is solid in his own right regardless. The only unit i'm unsure of is Celica. True, she's like a better Arya/Karla, but it's only a matter of time until we get powercrept again. Double lion is incredibly powerful I will admit, especially paired with death blow 4, but aside from her speed and B skill, she's not unlike units we already have. She'll certainly stay at tier 1 for awhile, but it wouldn't surprise me if she was demoted.

Powercreeping always happens. The big reason they probably said fuck it and made Hector a Lance unit finally is because there’s barely any good armored lances, and now he AND Hardin are at the top (it’s all about names with the letter H man) and Ephraim made the switch to axe finally. It’s a shame people aren’t using him to his fullest potential :(

hmmm, I'm still trying to pull for B! Hector but based on his stats(highest BST in game) and his much improved skill set- I think he will be tier 1 easily(like all other versions of him)

B! Ephraim- He has a great skillset. - You could make a case for him being a tier 1 unit given that most if not all green armors are up there but imo, he is easily the unit that most people wouldn't want in this banner- Tier 2 (for me)

B! Celica- OMG! This girl is a monstrous offensive unit. Extremely happy that I was able to pull her. Death Blow 4, Double Lion and Royal Sword- makes her among one of the best sword units around and nukers in the game. Just add Reposition and she is done. IF you like to use singers/dancers, then she is a great addition to your team. Tier 1

B! Veronica- Easily the best healer right now. I instantly went for her in my free summon even though I only use healers to power up units(in this case, I think I can safely add her up in other teams of mine and she will do well). She is a fantastic support unit with her Legendary weapon being a debuffer and a buffer, healer and could deal damage with very little investment needed. Tier 1, imo.

Hector- tier 1
Ephraim- tier 2
Veronica- tier 1
Celica-tier 1

Veronica seems like a powerful healer, but it may just be my experience with staffs, but she’s look Tier 2 for me. I might actually have to use her first before rating her properly (Dont roast me plz) but from what I’ve seen, she does her job as a healer extremely well but she has some bad stats and BST.

Honestly, I think Celica is a tier 2 for several reasons.
1. Celica faces heavy coemption from Alm as a double lion user. Alm can use renewal to get back into double lion range while Celica can only use double lion once. You can fix that if you have a healer on your team, but lets be honest, who wants to use a healer on their team?
2. Alm has his b slot open for other skills, while Celica has to waste it on the double lion skill that Alm already has built into his weapon. Alm can use this open b slot for renewal so he can function as a red healer and a devastating double lion user!
3. If Alm really is the better double lion user here, then Celica would have no chance of getting into tier 1 as Alm is a tier 2 unit himself!
Those are my reasons why I think Celica has a better chance of getting into tier 2 instead of tier 1. Honestly, you might be better foddering her to Alm for death blow 4 anyways.

Here’s the thing, you don’t need a healer. You can have someone run Breath of life or a special refinement (Aura) that effectively heals her. And when the renewal seal drops, she be even MORE effective than Alm seeing as the only major reason he’s as good as he is is his weapon, and Celica has good bulk and ridiculous speed.
