When are you expecting the legendary hero announcement?

Hey, I'm kind of excited about the legendary hero summoning event coming up next week. Which made me wonder, do the devs usually post an announcement video prior to that, or do they keep the hero's identity a secret until the actual date of the summoning event?

Also a more hypothetical question. Who do you want this new legendary hero to be?

The Legendary Hero shall be no other than Marth. It is time he gets to be a broken unit.

Probably not, I expect corrin or another hoshidan unit with a colored bow(green) and that a unit is legendary doesn't mean that I'ts broken, I mean, look at Gunnthra. and to answer your question, the legendary hero will be announced before the banner(together with the other units in the banner ofcourse)

Gunnthra is getting a lot of hate that she doesn't really deserve, before the Chill B-slots she was in my opinion by far the best green mage thanks to her immense unique utility. Now she still is the best green mage and drastically underrated. If she wouldn't score so abysmal in Arena I would like to use her more often. In Japan she is used much more as well.

From what I recall, it’s usually very close to the banner that they reveal who is on it. Maybe the day before? Not positive tho.

Most of the time we get a video showcasing the new legendary hero as well as all other summonable units a day before, just like with "normal" banners. Legendary Banner is tuesday so expect a video on monday.(Edit: Completly forgot that timezones exist, lol, for me in EU-West it's Monday and Tuesday)
The legendary hero is basically confirmed to be a green unit, cause Gungun isn't summonable on this banner. Either it's a green archer, then Takumi would be very likely, or it's Marth shooting green Falchions, cause thats a thing people want apparently.
I think we can safely assume it's no dragon since we already got 3 green dragons in a row and the last legendary was a dragon as well.
I personaly would want Garon as a legendary "Hero", it's most likely a Fates Character cause the banner and BHB are Fates related(and we have so few Fates characters in the game, geez).

I hope for a new character myself. Marth would be great but doubt he'd appear as green unit. Please not another Hector, there's Brave version already coming!

A Legendary Hector is pretty much unavoidable cosidering how popular and powerful that guy is, but I don't think he will get 2 Alts before his CYL version, since they need some hype for that. He already powercrept himself once and his CYL will do the same 100% as well, so three times in a year would be rough.

before the new banner, the biggest bets were either conqueror!Alm or kinshi knight!Takumi for green bow. however, since the banner is Fates related, Takumi is a lot more likely now than Alm. I do see Alm being a legendary hero down the line... just not in this one

green dragon m!Corrin is also a possibility if it's not Takumi though

After the Radiant dawn banner with Micaiah, Zelgius and Sothe we got one of its protagonists, Ike as a legendary hero. Next after the Sacred stones banner with Eirika, L'arachel and Myrrh we got Ephraim, one of the game's protagonists as a legendary hero. Next after the Awakening banner with Chrom and Morgans we got Robin as a legendary hero.
I think the pattern is pretty clear folks

Seems legit. I'd much rather take a legendary Ryoma than yet another Takumi... there's Ryoma's Club in the game so a green version is not at all far-fetched!
