Honestly though I use a bunch of old units during tt. I hate cheesing things with my main units and enjoy spreading the hm around. No point wasting those extra feathers.

Brave Lucina was my main till i started to use Arden, i still use her time to time but not often now

I used Marth a lot, he has a pretty decent base kit, balanced stats with good speed and Falchion was a great weapon back then. Replaced him with Eirika/Ike after a few months, now im building up a Laslow as my main red hero.
I'm glad whenever I get to use him in Arena Assault now, he's still good against dragons.

Hawkeye was my first 5* Green and I used him constantly pre-inheritance. I've tried several times to make him viable again but he's never really shined...so he sits unused most of the time. I've put too much inheritance into him at this point to ever let him go...but I'm not sure what to do with him next and don't want to waste anymore resources on him.

Ike, Mae, Sharena, Hector, Bridal Cordelia, and Staff users in general are other units that I once used a lot but...who now mostly sit around the barracks. There are other units that I've brought back into use - like Young Tiki, Male Robin, Ninian, and Caeda - so there's hope that I'll bring them back.

Young Tiki & Camilla. Both highly prized when the game was released.

Green slot was -Atk Julia into Brave Axe Cherche and finally Brave Ike who's managed to hold the green slot of my team since he was released.

Blue slot went from Sharena to The Reinhardt (including another 2 merges of him) and now Micaiah takes the torch by impressingly beating out The Reinhardt of all people.

As for red, the list is quite long, going from Lucina, Olivia, Xander, Ryoma, Ike, Ayra, BK, and finally to Martha when her fifth merge was released. Olivia and Xander was ran longest with The Reinhardt and Cherche before getting replaced by BK for his overly oppressive kit and high Arena weighting next to Brave Ike, now finally getting outshown by +5 Aether!Renewal Martha.

In a more general sense, Takumi was my number one since my first day, a week after launch, I even managed to get two off him with +Atk and +Spd / -Def. He absolutely dominated all the way up to SL and a couple weeks past that too, but then he suddenly became useless and has been in the bench all the way up to today. This also goes for any healer that caps HM.

A long time ago, i was pretty proud of my Athena.

Now, athena was laughtered to give wo dao+ to olivia. And now, i'm playing with ryoma, soleil and sometimes Ayra

I don't really even use Horse Emblem anymore. Now it's just Armor and Dragons.

Robin (M) was my main blue mage until the fateful day I pulled a +Attack -Speed Reinhardt.... Gordin was my main archer until the fateful day I pulled a +Attack - Defense Bridal Cordelia.... Cordelia (the normal flying lance variant) was main lance unit until the fateful day I pulled a +Speed -HP Tana....

+atk -res gordin. He is still an under rated beast, but he is still second to a lot of other units now so he's reserved for arena assault only.

Hector/Bridal Lyn/4*Felicia/4*Effie was my main team back when I started. Hector was +SPD and Effie was . . . something not -ATK. Felicia was and still is +ATK. Technically I get Effie a bit later, but still pretty early. Sharena was there for a while.

Effie is the only one who still sees regular use. Lyn had max HM so I was using other healers(though some new life is given now with increased HM cap). Hector competes with Amelia and Henry for Armor teams and both of them have march which is just totes awesome. Effie suffers the same issue with Robin, but my Robin is -SPD and as such isn't as optimal as a +ATK Effie. Robin and Hector will probably be on my second string armor team. As for Felicia. Well she is Felicia. I still break her out sometimes as a support unit, particularly with the new dagger effects, but she sees no where the use she used to.

My first 5* was a -spd lucina, which i used all the wsy until SI hit, i didn't really care about ivs back then. Then she got replaced with eirika, and even her had been replaced with adult tiki cause i can't get more merges for her, but add soon as sieglinde gets an upgrade, she will be back.
The blue slot had been changing w lot so i don't have any unit I'm particularly attached there, though lancina, tana and later fjorm have been compiting for that spot for a long time now.
The green slot has always been and will always be for the greatest green mage this franchise has seen, nino.
I do feel a bit bad for hector, sharena and lucina who i don't use add often anymore, though except for the armors, the rest see some use in AA runs.

well since in the past i don't have ANY good archers or more like i don't get any archers other than setsuna, gordin and virion lol, and then i decided to build setsuna since she has good IV and yeah those past old days when she's still one f2p archers that extremely good

And ryoma since he's my first 5 star unit and he's good AF. He's still good now but he's outclassed with my Ayra.... I'm still using him for TT or Squad Assault though.

Sometimes these powercreep makes me afraid though... Can't we have an event which only old unit can participate lol

Ryoma. He still sees uses in Arena Assault, but ever since I gave my Sigurd DC, Ryoma just doesn't shine as much in the face of Sigurd's superior stats and abilities. After all, Ryoma definitely can't tank and kill a non Swordbreaker Reinhardt, but Sigurd can.

Quadsuna and Lucina with renewal for tons of durability ran the show for me.

In some form Nowi (1st 5* Unit, at the 2 weeks of start playing), at the beginning she was my best unit specially before the Skill inheritance Era and due i was not focus on the Meta, now with the upgraded Weapon and a better build she can shine again.

In other side, Takumi was fine during the beginning with Close counter,but eventually he become just a backup unit.

I think that Basically the 40Lv 4*/5* units before SI era, pass for some similar, without count if the IVs are fine

My original team was Lucina, Lukas, Ninian and Klein. They were my first 5* team and first 5* pulls and stayed as my main team for a long while until I decided I lacked magical threat and found I kept getting walled and killed by Reinhardt, M Robin and Hector. Also except Ninian who was +spd-def, had -atk natures.
So I changed it up and my 2nd main team was built around units with great bane/boons - Reinhardt (4* promoted +atk -hp) Jeorge (+atk -hp) Ninian and Alm (+def -hp fury renewal medic tank). Alm eventually got switched for Ike (+atk-def) and that’s how my main team stayed right up until The CYL units arrived.
After CYL I decided to main Brave Ike and built my team around him. Current arena core is Brave Ike, Eirika, Reinhardt with Performing Azura or one other (Genny, a Mage) in PvE.
