What's better, a Team with Wave or Tactic Skills?

So I was thinking about this since Ishtar was revealed and released into the normal summoning pool. I really like the idea of these skills being on a mixed team as it is great on any type of team. Wave skills are better as the skill results in buffing the skill wielder and adjacent allies, but there are different effects of the skill. The skill triggers on different turns making the team formation under pressure as the teammates have to constantly be adjacent to one another.

On the other hand Tactic skills buff allies in a range of 2 spaces so it's kinda more effective, but it doesn't buff the skill wielder. ( unless someone has the same tactic skill ) They both give +6 to a certain stat so it's kinda hard to choose.

The fact that Ishtar could be a possibility on the legendary banner is also a great opportunity for me to gain this skill. I also might summon for S!Takumi so I can Fodder him for Od Res Wave to a member on my Mixed team.

What are your thought on these skills being on mixed teams?

Both has pros and cons and you did state everything.

IMO a Tactic team is better cause of consistency cause the drawback of the Wave skills might F up the player when he or she is not paying attention or is in a really tight spot.

Yeah, i hate if that happened, getting crammed into a corner just to buff allies, but only resulted into the foes destroying the whole team is really goin to to put the player under pressure. I might have a tactic team after all..

Let's assume def wave becomes a thing, because I think we all expect it. If you stand in a square, one member of the team still misses each buff, which means you're not doing any better than a tactic team while losing a lot of flexibility in positioning. Moreover, you're missing some buffs every turn. I don't see wave teams having it better than tactic teams.

It's all personal preference to which you find better.

Overtime, I expect seals of the wave skills where we'll eventually have Odd Atk Wave C Skill and Even Atk Wave Seal, Even Spd Wave C Skill and Odd Spd Wave Seal, etc.

Also, not to be that guy, but Tactic skills provide a +6 buff, not +7.

I think Tactics is better for a team overall that can spread out, but for duos or Ally support, I would take Wave because it will also affect user even if no one is standing next to them. That’s a big deal. So depends on the synergy of the team.

Side note: I’ve considered giving my spare wave to Ericka. That means she would have +6, and after giving her ally +6 she would also get another +6 since they stack (for +12). Not bad.

I personally enjoy tactic skills better because when I play, they're a team support skill. I prefer the wave skills on specific units that gain the most from that skill, whether or not they're next to an ally doesn't matter.

Example: My main trio is Soleil, Micaiah, and M!Grima. I prefer Even speed wave on Soleil. The priority is to have her sit at 51 Speed on even turns so she can secure a double and then if needed the next priority would be to boost Micaiah's speed (Or filler character) to either prevent doubles or to secure a double on player phase. Same with Micaiah, but with Odd Attack Wave instead.

Male Grima on the other hand I would prefer to have any sort of tactic skill on him. Sitting at 65 attack with bold fighter, he doesn't need any more attack or speed. 99% of the time, if he can't KO the enemy, an additional 6 damage would not help while 6 more speed would only prevent a double on enemy phase. If he can boost an ally with any stat from a slight distance while being focused on his job, great.

Simplified answer: Wave skills (IMO) should prioritize the user of the skill, then an ally. While Tactics need to prioritize the allies (Since the user doesn't receive the buff). The role of a character is also important in deciding whether or not to use a wave or tactic skill.

Tactics seem to be easier to get as well. Probably because Waves are newer, but every tactic can be gotten by multiple units except for L!Lyn's Speed Tactic.

Edit: Res Tactic can only be gotten on one unit, but that unit comes in as a 4-5*.

Exactly, even though I can just upgrade the Tactic seals instead of foddering Shiro (which I don't have) and a Canas (OwlTome Fodder). I have a spare Atk Tactic fodder, but I'm hoping I get L!Lyn with bad Ivs so that's an excuse to fodder her.

I think waves are better because you can use horses and having a unit with better mobility should make most maps easier. Also you can use Def Tactic seal on a horse to make a mix of both waves and tactics.
