Whats the average going rate for orbs to Hero?

I was kinda curious to what people generally consider a "normal" amount of orbs to use before getting a hero.

From my experience, give or take, I use around 60 orbs on average before getting a hero.

How much for you?

5 orbs= 1 hero duh, jk lol

I don't know for five stars, just an estimate 5-1000 orbs per 1 five star. This could just be my terrible luck though

Sometimes I can use over 200 orbs and get nothing and sometimes I can get one for technically 20 orbs (because of double 5* in one session). I think the average should be somewhere around 80 orbs, but I usually get them before that margin (usually they are pitybreakers though) but if you're going for one specific unit, then the amount is probably somewhere around 100 orbs, not too sure though.

Mathematical expectation of orbs per focus unit assuming pulling only one colour and pity rates don't exist (ex: you get pitybroken by random units on every single round)

3 focus units on 3%/3%
R 143
B 128
G 90
C 120

4 focus units on 3%/3%
R 190
B 170
G 118
C 159

legendary banner, specific hero
R 209
B 191
G 136
C 181

legendary banner, any focus unit of given colour
R 70
B 64
G 45
C 60

Guide to interpretation:
- I'm not sure if my numbers are still precise after the introduction of the YT units, but four units added to the pool won't change too much. I might be off by a few orbs.
- Since pity rates don't exist in these calculations, getting pitybroken does not change the probability of getting a focus unit in the expected number of orbs
- To account for pity rates, just take 1-2 summons off I guess? I'm not being mathematical at this point.
- If you pull multiple colours on a banner, you decrease the number of orbs per summon so you can save a small number of orbs that way (probably <10), but you will increase the number of orbs you spend on the other colour(s) by many times that number, so I cannot recommend it unless you actually want the focus units on the other colours.
- You may notice that the "legendary banner, any hero" is 1/3 that of "legendary banner, specific hero." Mathematically, if you pull three focus units of the same colour, the expectation is one of each. So if you spend three times the orbs expected to get any hero of that colour, the expectation is to find three focus units, one of each.
- By similar logic, any number of orbs fired at a legendary banner when you want 2/3 focus units of a colour give you better value than the same orbs fired at even a 3-focus banner.
- mathematical expectation is not what happens in any single summoning session. Do not accuse me of false promises if you fire 300 orbs and fail to get your desired unit; I have no control over variance. Equally, don't accuse me of being pessimistic if you manage to get four focus units in 80 orbs. The statistical term is probably "positive variance"; I have no control over that either.

Or did you want the numbers for any 5*, not just focus?

My gut and wallet tell me what I'm getting a 5-star about every 50 orbs. Sometimes it feels much worse and sometimes much better, but I think that's fairly standard for me.
