What is your favorite summoning strategy?

Sniping on legendary banners isn't particularly a good thing unless you don't mind the other two heroes that share the same color

I play Platinum disco on youtube to lower my frustration level and just go for it. Going for a specific hero on a legendary banner is pure luck and no strategy, so you might as well just prepare for the worst.

1. Wake up at 3AM
2. Snipe
3. Get garbage fodder/5* with unusable IVs
4. Hate myself
5. Repeat

Well I usually start by praying to the rng gods, then on a LB i do the free summoning circle, and after i just try to snipe for colors i want (･ᴗ･ )

If it's a specific hero I want, save orbs, wait for them to appear on a 3%/3% banner or on a legendary banner with other units of the same colour that I want, and fire away.

I'm going to start trying this thing where I stop in 100 orbs if I seem to run bad and try again at another time. Something to do with the computer science of RNG, and I don't know if I'm completely off or not.

Sniping, obviously. If I don't want/need a Red unit, why would I pull on Red? To boost the pity rate? The gain is marginal at best and it's easy to still get pity broken by someone you don't want. There have been plenty of times where I've had better luck at near base pity rate.
