What will GRobin run for A-Slot?

Assuming you choose to run his natural Vengeful Fighter 3 (which seems really ideal), what A-Slot ability would you run? His weapon already has built-in Distant Counter, and Special-shortening abilities like Heavy Blade 3, Steady Breath, and Warding Breath don't stack with Vengeful Fighter from what I remember. Those could be great with a Wrath set though...

But anyways, I was thinking maybe Svalinn Shield (depending on the team) or Fury 3 since both of those are pretty budget. Thoughts on general A-Slot abilities for him?

I'm going Close def from a spare Sigurd, other options are steady stance or distant def.

Yeah those instantly stood out to me, but they're so expensive. v_v

My only Distant Def unit is my one and only Micaiah (who doesn't have good IVs but who I still love), and my only Steady Stance 3 unit is my one and only Black Knight. x_x No Close Defense whatsoever.

Being poor feels bad lol

Well for budget I recommend Fury 3. But for the best build i think Bond skills/Brazen atk def/ Fierce or steady or warding stance.

It really depends on his stats. Is he a mixed tank, or is he specialized in just physical defense while his resistance is low?

Fury is a solid budget choice. But depending on how you want to use him, that should decide your choice. A ranged tank wants double distant defense to attempt to counter Julia. A close range tank wants double close defense in an attempt to prevent falchion users from decimating him. A mixed tank wants one of each. But if he has respectable speed, Swift sparrow or some variation of an attack/speed booster would be what he wanted. Brazen atk/spd for whale offensive builds. We don’t know his stat spread yet, but when we do, that should give us a solid idea as to what his usage will be.

close defense if his def is lower than his res and distant def if vice versa

otherwise, svalinn shield isnt a bad idea, but ultimately useless because no one runs armorbane weapons unless on a budget build. if they were to release a (dragon)'s shield then that would be an optimal A slot for him because of how vulnerable he is to falchion+naga

Fury also isn't a bad idea if you run aether or noontime
