What should i do with my feathers?

I own 460K feathers, should I promote a single unit to 5* +10 or promote multiple units to 5*? I'm a F2P casual player and only play arena/aether for the weekly recompense. Which units are good to promote? I like about 90% of FE characters. TY

I had this dilemma as well about a week ago,I have been getting bored not having any new characters I deem worth spending my feathers on which caused me to save over 600k feathers😂.Ultimately this led me to just pick a 5* I like that I already had,my choice was Lilina and I got to say I'm glad I did she has been extremely fun to use.

Sorry for the rant,but what units do you especially like above others?

What's your preferred playstyle?

I like a lot of flying units, such Cherche, Caeda, Cordelia, Catria, Clair... There are many characters I like in calvary and infantry too. It is very difficult to choose one. :(

I 5* a cherche and her brave weapon makes her extremely powerful even if you don't plan to +10 her.

I +10 Cordelia with FS build she hits extremely hard.

Catria has a new weapon and clair can be good also,but she needs some high investments.

Infantry is hard for me as well since it's my favorite move type.

Most Calvary units tend to be heavy offensive units,so you want someone you like with a good offensive spread,my favorite is ares although he isn't really fast,but he hits hard with aoe builds one rouded tough foes.

So is it better to invest in a 5 * + 10 unit instead of promoting multiple units? I think I'm going to focus on Catria and Cordelia maybe, I already have a Cherche 5 * without merge. What do you think?

Yeah you can really appreciate a unit's worth when there +10.

I can merge Catria +7 and Cordelia +8, should I wait or merge them?

Well, do you have at least 5 or 6 copies of certain 3-4* characters.

You could start by checking that and supermerge those who you have in higher numbers.

I have on average 7 copies of each unit, I am between promote one of each unit or promote and merge a single unit.

I see. You probably expanded your barracks unlike me if you're holding around 7 copies of your units.

I was expecting a few choices but if you have plenty then I'll probably leave it up to you since it'll be matter of preference unless you want to go with units that are used for the meta, like Reinhardt.

My favorite choices are:

Clair +5
Shanna +5
Cordelia +8
Cherche +8
Corrin(M) +10
Corrin(F) +10
Laslow +8
Hana +8
Fir +6
Peri +7
or any GHB character(I like 90% of them) +5

What do you recommend?

Do you have a wide variety of 5* units? If not, then perhaps use feathers to upgrade to cover some gaps in your 5* roster. (I'd 5* Alfonse, Sheena, Anna if you haven't already.)

If you feel you have enough variety of units for normal use, you could merge some that will help you with difficult content. Pick some of your favorite units to use. The fliers you mentioned are good candidates.

I have 5* enough to complete missions in Infernal but not in Abyssal. I didn't promote the Askrs, do you think I should promote them first? There are 4*.

What are the best fliers in your opinion?

Promoting the Askrs and invest a little bit in them is never a wrong choice since they're always in the rotation of the Arena/AR and MANY quests objective are "Alfonse/Sheena/Anna must kill "someone"

I can complete the quests with them 4*, but I will promote them to increase my options. I'm thinking of making a flying emblem, which units do you think are best? I'm thinking of Catria and Cordelia, but I did not choose the others 2.

If you're playing arena only for rewards then I don't think you can justify decisions that are solely to get you beyond T19.5 unless you really want the extra orb. The feathers you would have to invest into merges are far more than you would ever get back.

However, I do recommend having at least one or two 5*+10 units even if you don't really care about arena.
- It gets you beyond T18.5, and isn't that an extra orb every other week? T18 only rewards with 3 orbs right?
- Having and using your own 5*+10 unit is a very enjoyable aspect of the game experience. I'd say even making one is an aspect of the game experience.
- It's nice to have a 5*+10 to offer to people on your friends list
- Some units, mainly those with really general statlines like Jakob or M.Robin, can be pretty bad without heavy investment. Jakob, for example, can do something like what you see in the image below. Other 3*-4* candidates who benefit from just tons of stats: Nowi, Fae, Eirika, Soleil, M.Corrin, Fir (especially if you use the +def superboon) Odin (yes, Odin - if you buff him with full tactics buffs, his defenses go into the mid 30s if not 40s and he turns into an interesting version of Kliff who hits 15-20 atk harder), Libra, LA Eliwood, Sakura, maybe Nanna/Clarine.

Those things said, I think it's smart to wait until beast units release to see how they affect the meta to see if it changes how you want to spend your feathers.
