This is what the normal summoning pool should look like.

Tons of 5 star locked units have no business being 5 stars to begin with (Saber, Gray, Lief), while others that are could still stand for a demotion due to not having much worth while going for them (Lucina, Flora, Amelia).

Pity breakers should be units that have something of value going for them, duel skills, DC/CC, being a flying ranged, having absurd bst, etc.

I doubt they would demote that many units for each color we are getting more and more units added into the normal summoning pool.

Leif has nothing but drive atk going for him.

Sonya has res ploy, if she didnt also have mirror strike and a wo dao tome she'd be 4 star.

Leif has a solid statline though. And while in standard battles, S drink is basically useless, in Tempest Trials its invaluable. Light Brand is also a solid weapon.

Yes. And because his base kit, when buffed, can be used as part of a galeforce meme team to beat abyssal robin on turn 1 before enemy phase.

I do think we need a 3* only pool, even more than demotions.

Otherwise you run into the problem of a bloated 4* pool.

I don't wanna spend an extra 2000 feathers for every 5* promotion tho

I would prefer that if the alternative means way too many characters in that pool.

Why is Katarina 5-locked but not Sanaki.

Kataina has swift sparrow and atk ploy, sanaki has hone attack and triangle adept.

Where are Adirft Corrin (F) and Mikoto? I presume they would be 5 star exclusives?

I listed them as seasonal because They were near the end of the list with other seasonals and just didnt catch it.

Would it hurt the summon pool if they made every unit locked to one rarity only? So, have units that are only 3 star, units that are only 4 star, and units that are only 5 star?

Maybe the units that have been 3-4 star since the beginning can be 3 star only along with most of the units that got removed from the 5 star pool last refinement, 5 star exclusive units that have been here from the beginning of the game can be demoted to 4 star only along with the units that are currently in the 4-5 star pool, and any newer 5 star exclusive units we've gotten can remain 5 star exclusive.

Why not just remove the 3 and 5* rarities altogether and make every unit in the game available at 4*? That way all the pitty breaking complains would stop for good and everyone can build whoever they want with no restrictions. Just have every banner be like the old 4* banners. 12 focus units at 30+ rate.

Feathers are easy enough to gather, so building your favourite units for free shouldn't be a problem.
