I've asked a lot of questions today, so i wont ask any tommarrow to compensate for this universal catastrophe, now, to awnser my own question. Mines a pair (morgan (m) and fjorm) mostly fjorm though,as i will explain.
With my current fjorm build, (ally support between Morgan and her) on the enemy phase, if attacked at range, and morgan's next to her, AND his command skill is used, (rally def/res and spur def/res for c slot) she reaches a MONSTEROUS 48 res, 49 def and an okish 51 atk. She has been made into the ulti-tank
Aka, fjorm makes morgan support her cause she is really bossy
My (M)Morgan/Performing Arts Inigo duo is shaping up to be that way. Inigo supports Morgan with dance and has a +21 hp Breath of Life build on him, which makes Morgan pretty unkillable. I'm going all in on speed with Darting Blow and a +3 speed seal on him to let him double on two units in one turn. I haven't decided the rest of my team, but I will have more buffs for Morgan to let him go all out.
The latest iteration of Michalis for me is my monster.
In flier emblem and supported by a triple goad and ally support from Elincia, his stat line hits 68/43 attack/speed to go with a 41 defense. During enemy phase, with QR and heavy blade seal, he is able to double and fire off Ignis for 41 extra damage to go with his 68 attack. During player phase, he can do the same thing if he is fast enough to double (which in most cases he will be). He was strong enough to tank and kill red units during the last VG (according to several people on here who used him), and for me personally has tanked a Zelgius with a charged Black Luna and killed him with a double that ended in Ignis firing off, and that was without any buffs to Michalis. I think that Zelgius had a -atk though, which was why he barely lived.

45/50 people on my friend list meet the top 3 criteria. Lol
I used to just say be active and you’re in, but when I had 25 requests at one time I needed to become so selective I feel like I’m basically a bouncer at a club. I kick people out as frequently as I let them in, and of those people who I have let in, 45/50 right now are considered VIP, and will never leave.
And anyone who becomes involved with the movement known as Team GP will snag one of those 5 spots I have left that remain “revolving door” friend slots. Lol
I would say Grima, A!Tiki and Micaiah combo. Grima with Obstruct seal, Micaiah with Ardent Sacrifice, Renewal, and Aether. A!Tiki with Vantage.
Ardent Sacrifice Renewal to keep units HP up, Grima Spur Defence to bring Tiki up to 44 Def, Tiki Spur Res to bring Micaiah up to 42 Res, DD brings that up to 48 on enemy phase. Heavy blade to charge Aether on Micaiah, Ignis and Bonfire on Grima and Tiki respectively to deal massive DMG every other combat. Def Tactic on B!Lyn(just there for flyers) brings Tiki up to 50 Def, though Tiki will be replaced by an Elincia or (Hopefully)H!Nowi and B!Lyn will(hopefully) be replaced by Spring Kagero if I do not get Nowi if she is on the legendary banner.
How about my Knightkiller? Nothing too fancy, but even at this low of a level she can face down a Zelgius and hold her own. Throw a few Flyer Emblem buffs on top and she becomes a great help in the current meta.
Arena Assault MVP for sure. Just a different build that lets her hammer be effective.
Yeah, there’s good news and bad news for my arena core.
Good news: only 2 units require feathers, and one isn’t super hard to find.
Bad news: Nowi is 4*-5*, so she should be easy to find, but Michalis is blocked by GHB and Zelgius is 5* exclusive, and I highly doubt I will get lucky enough to get 4 more copies on the next banner he’s on, let alone one. So my team has a LONG way to go.

But yeah, I am going to start building the orb bank in the name of getting my arena core units built.
Unfortunately, the day may come where Michalis may be the dead weight in my Arena team. If it does, luckily I have a secondary option, although he too is blocked by 5* accessibility. Brave Ike is currently +3 merged, and even with his current set (I can swap out his C skill for a drive or dual spur), he’s pretty close to Michalis on the scoring radar.
Other options could be Nino, Raven, or some other random green unit. Lol
Yeah, my goal is ultimately T20, so if I can max out Nowi and (somehow) max Zelgius, Michalis would be the weakest link in my core, and there’s no way he will be able to hit max merge before the end of next year. I just don’t see it.
And it shouldn’t be Soleil & Squad. It’s #polesandholes

TY - I think your choices are sound; Nowi will over pseudo magic damage and built in DC with her weapon and weapon effect whilst Zelgius is going to take time to grow but will be an absolute rock in your team. You’re right that Michalis may hold you back at some point if he doesn’t get more merges soon, but it won’t make him unusable, it just means running an alternative that works so you can switch your arena core and your PvE core around.
Mike - you’re right on the your concerns around running 3 melee units as your teams will be very offensively orientated. Whilst Sheena is a good pick, I probably think you need someone with high resistance and better mobility around Soliel and Brave Lucina, to tank hits they cannot. I’m just not sure who, Nino/Boey/Soren and Fae are all 4* available and offer some of that, Fae and Soren probably being the top picks at the moment.
