What if there was a new line of skills that worked the exact same way as Ploys, but they worked using Defense instead of Resistance?

Shouldn't new skills be to help old units do better? I'd like to see Beruka and Corrin seeing more use when they can debuff at the start of the turn. They'd still be destroyed by mages so it's not like they'd break the game.
