what does my "waifu" have to do with it

I don't have a "waifu". Not to mention, I wouldn't automatically think she's the best in terms of gameplay. In fact, I could care less if she were the worst character in the game.

I just argue characters I feel deserve more consideration, and not necessarily to be "High" or "Top" tier. If anything, it's because of their kind of "niche" that I end up liking them.

As to the article itself, it's a fun read.

They were pretty thorough in their explanation of why they ranked things the way they did in this article. Even so i can sum up their whole argument in one word, SUBJECTIVE. While they certainly have their opinion on how and why certain units should be ranked as they are, it appears that a vast majority of the FEH community disagrees with them on many of these cases.

It's actually a very good read, and they bother to explain things people would overlook. I especially like how they pinpoint at the whole "sim vs. reality", in that winning a couple of matchups with a certain setup doesn't always translate that way.

Agreed, the "Sim vs Reality" bit was one of the better parts of this article. It's a concept i've mentioned at times in other replies on here. Just because something is considered an "optimal" build doesn't necessarily mean it will give an individual optimal performance to go along with the rest of someones team.

People generally want their waifus/husbandos to be seen as good, because your want the things you like to be liked by other people.
As for the tier list, I say it's reasonable. Some units I would like to shift 1-2 tiers, but nothing more than that.
Also maybe don't name it ARENA Offensive Tier List if things like BST, units with buffer abilities, & meta counters are not taken into account. I would just call it a general tier list.

A lot of the complaints about X not being higher on the tier list involve said complainer's favorite character/some form of favoritism. The waifu thing is probably used as an exaggeration, or possibly even to mock said complaints.

I had to force myself to read the arena article just due to the title being a huge bother, they could of had a better name instead of "waifu" like for example: "Any unit can compete against teir 1 in their own way" at least something close to this. I admit they do put out some pointers how they judge units but they were bias in other areas as well
