What do you hope comes in 3.0 the most?

You can only choose one thing so choose wisely! I personally want more variety regarding units, such as maybe beast units and definitely less armored units.

I wouldn't mind yet another gamemode.
Sure, we got one just a while ago, but it really feels like those kind of updates are what keeps this game alive.

Maybe a multi map dungeon where you throw in your units, but have to level them up in the gamemode. Collecting skills and weapons just for that mode.
You'll be using your own units with their IV's for the mode, but everything beside a bronze weapon is unlocked in the gamemode, for the gamemode

Report

Oh! Like some games... Like... Uh... Pokemon mystery dungeon. And some other games. But i imagine something where like per so many floors you get a break to give units skills, or heal them, etc. By having instead of sp per unit, have it be a collective pool of sp

Report

Yeah, kinda like having money.
Finding some skills/sp to gain in chests (like the aether pots in AR)
And being able to use sp as gold to buy/upgrade skills in a shop between fights.

Maybe with a stamina system like Aether Raids have, so you'd be able to play a couple of maps per day. With rewards balanced for that.
That would make the mode add to the daily play time, without being a grindfest.

I would like to have another mass demotion, some 5* units just don't deserve to be there. Also i wish IS could give us more heroic grails and add all recent GHB and TT units into that place where you can spend those grails. And perhaps IS could do something with tap battle? Maybe?

Report

Tap battle is meh. It definitely needs an overhaul. They could look at other similar rhythm games like theatrhythm Final Fantasy for example. Perhaps add new minigames? Also yeah a ton of units like mist and karel need to be demoted.

Report

Or give us heroic grails based on how good you did tap battle? That could solve both problems: give us more heroic grails and breathe some live into tap battle.

Report

The thing I want the most is a mass demotion, the 5* pool is just too saturated that it isn't that fun to summon anymore.
But I don't want a simple demotion, as this will saturate the 3*/4* pool, what I want is that the character that don't have valuable fodder gets placed in a 4* exclusive pool, this way if you get a 3* at least you're sure to get a good fodder.
If they decide to not do a mass demotion then make that summoning a pity breaker just halves the increase on the pity rate instead of resetting it (for example a pity breaker at 5% brings it at 4%)

Report

I think (unpopular opinion incoming) that they should release 2 banners at a time, maybe give us more units or 2 character banners again, and then split up the pool between the 2 banners

Report

What they could do is label every unit. Or at least 3-4* units.
Like a black and white label.

And then have every banner labled with either black or white.
Basicly indicating which pool of 3-4* units is in that banner.

Report

I want a new game mode where you play through an entire book with only a handful of units and if the unit is killed, then you can't use the unit anymore.

Report

The old fire emblem games work in a way that all of the characters you meet along the way only have one life, so you can't be careless.

In those games you can win a map and progress through the story but the dead character is dead.

A game mode where they recreated that (not permanently) just in the playthrough of the story chapters, would be both a great challenge and a chance to properly revisit the story. Ideally it would work with a kind of save feature so you didn't have to do 13x5+ maps at a time :)

Report

Uh you do realize that the game isn't meant to be identical to fire emblem right? And many grow attached to the units in the newer games as well. Also like me you can put on permadeath. People like you are a vocal minority of FE veterans and think that the series has to cater to you. It doesnt.

A game mode or repeatable quest that be be continuously run for orbs, such as an endless wave mode where you select a difficulty and then battle with four units until theyre all dead, and then receive a reward based on waves cleared.

This game mode would ideally get to the point where it doesnt matter how good your team is, they will simply lose eventually to raw stats, because no matter how good your team is, you're not taking down a unit that has 99 in each stat.

Perhaps this mode would take a hefty amount of stamina to run, to have a sort of gateway to prevent players from spamming it nonstop all day once their stamina pots run out., maybe 99 stamina for one run, to give stamina a proper use.

Report

Perhaps a tier like system, or you get rewards depending on waves defeated, with each wave getting harder and harder? Perhaps a once a day limit? Also it would make healers infinitely more useful.

Report

No, once a day is bad, repeatable is good, spammable is good, a way to farm currency is good because 60% of the game is locked behind summoning and providing players with a more consistent taste of winning, via gambling, would easily provide more revenue for nintendo due to the difference between whales and f2p is that whales will whale no matter what, while f2p will falter with more ease by having that sweet sweet thing called "just one more summon" always be at their fingertips, resulting in more frequent 3 orb purchases from players that yolo'd but went in with too few orbs to get all the colors that happened to spawn, because they wont be able to leave that one extra orb be because it might contain their focus unit

Report

99 stamina is a steep cost for people that dont have stamina pot reserves, and being rewarded with orbs based on performance, with restrictions, such as a lunatic level requiring you to have no merges at all on your team, a team with an arena score of XXX or lower, or requiring certain weapon types to be used would result in a game mode where someone couldn't simply just setup a macro and get good results consistently, especially if the level they enter requires units to be at level 30 or lower, while the maps enemies are level 40 and higher with varying terrain and enemy combatants.

It would be fun to have a game mode where you could use your favorites to actually work towards something anytime you were bored, and get rewards that are will never be useless.

Honestly this will probably be the most boring suggestion here, but I wouldn't mind a dungeon system where you send 4 heroes out on a little adventure, wait 6 hours and they come back with various goodies like EXP, a good amount of the currencies and occasionally a handful of orbs.

Maybe every hour a cutscene plays where your heroes get excited when they find something and show it to you so you know what you're getting ahead of time. Also doubles as something cute, and I'm a sucker for cute things.

I haven't changed, I judge everything I see based on its merit rather than the person typing it, that way i'm not clouded with bias. I have ot make an active effort to ignore usernames to keep myself from giving unfair judgment, until I recognize someones style, which I cant do anything about. Everything should be judged on what it is rather than who says it, this has been proven time and time again. If you took things I said and put them under someone elses name, you'd get different replies based entirely on the person saying it rather than the content of the message.

Report

Mmm fair enough. I really agree with ya. I try not to be biased but sometimes its hard. You are very respectable in that regard.

Most saying already many old heroes just deserve not more to be 5Star.
Would wish a IV reroll System hell even if it would be 1 orb reroll random IV. (would not even cry if it would be 5orbs)

...but I like armors. I'd go for skill refinery. Allowing access to Tier 4 skills and being able to upgrade Defiant Skills to Brazens.

Report

A place where skills that weren’t inherited go. So let’s say you wanted Vengeful Fighter on Surtr, you had a bad iv W!Tharja. You killed her for VF. All of the other inheritable skills go to a skill box so other units can inherit them instead of them going to waste. I hate killing units like B!Ike, seeing that nice Aether go to waste honestly kills me. (I think I’ve mentioned this many times, but I REALLY want this to happen).

Also I need my Hinoka at 4/3* please; and another massive 5* demotion.

Report

Bigger maps that can we can scroll around instead of havin 8x10/6×8 maps. To scroll around the map, we would just have to swipe in the direction we want to see and when either phase starts it will focus on the main unit leader assigned, like on the handheld games focussing on the lords when your turn starts

Report

Sounds nice at first but if they did that, the game would run much slower and would take up more megabytes. The best hope we have would be non grand conquest maps where there can be up to 10 enemy units and 10 of our units or perhaps allies.

Report

A lot of things. But I think the biggest is beast units.
The solution for sorting them is just to do this...
They can be classified into certain classes or colors.
Eagles/Birds could be classified as the pegasus/dragon rider class.
Lions/Wolfkin could be classified as the armor class
Cats/Kisune could be classified as the infantry class
Stuff like that. Now, none of the beast units have to be a separate new color. In fact, beast units could work like dragons. Like Nowi being Blue or Myrrh being Green. Let's say that for example, Selkie is red or Lethe is green or Tibarn is blue. It'd make perfect sense.
This idea was inspired by another comment I saw so I don't take ownership of this idea at all. But I think it's a great idea if they implement beast units into the game.

Report

Yup, sounds familiar.
But Cats should be cavalier, together with Taguel.
Tigers could be infantry.

I would add something you can do with em:
Have a triangle for movement types with beast units.
With the boost being the same as weapon types.

Somthing like this:
Fliers>Infantry>Cavalier>Armor>Fliers
With some being neutral to eachother, like Infantry vs Armor (since there are four)

Report

Actually i imagine most birds with a few exceptions being blue unirs due to their weakness to wind tomes in the tellius series. As for cats and tigers, green due to weakness to fire magic and dragons red due to weakness to electric magic. Of course some units like the kitsune and wolfskin can break these rules. Same for taguel as well as some beast units, specifically the royals

Report

I think wolfskin if armored would be more like black knight stat wise where they have good attack and defense but also amazing speed for an armored unit. I personally disagree with them or tigers being armored, but we are talking about hypotheticals.and yeah birds would be fliers and i think kitsune and taguel would be like infantry and i want cats as infantry but if anything else, calvary would make sense due to their insane movement being as high or sometimes even higher than calvary.

Report

All beasts should be green because fire is a natural aversion.
All fliers should be colorless, because bows.
All dragons should be just be based off their color, red dragons being red, black being colorless, etc.

Report

A way to forge skills like Sacred seals forge, only with skills that would have variants with a higher level, like Death Blow 4 or Steady Stance 4. I think that's what they are pushing for, and it might only be accessible to those who have arena crowns, so whales would be even more overpowered. Maybe Quick Riposte 4 with a 50% health activation like Maltet, or Swift Sparrow 3 with +6 speed and attack for activation while also targeting the lower of the units def or res. That would make me quit the game.

Report

I want a skill refinery option added to the forge with the same currency so things don't get out control when they release new tier 4 skills.

Report

The thing I want most is the ability to direct buy 5-star units for $10 - $20 each. I don't care if you can only get neutral ones that way. But there should be no limit on how many you can buy (or a limit of 20 like with the GHB/TT units). I'm not saying they should put up newer units for direct purchase, but I think this could be a great thing to do with older units--both non-seasonals and seasonals. With seasonals, it would offer a solution to the "too many banners" thing that will likely happen if they keep re-running each seasonal banner at the same time every year as well as making a new banner for that season. With older units, it will be a way for us to get units that have been around for a year or more but which we haven't managed to pull yet. And I still believe offering people a way to direct-buy units--that is, to get a definite and defined product in exchange for our money in a clear transaction rather than gambling--is a better and more sustainable financial strategy than relying entirely on a small number of players with lots of disposable income and a gambling problem.
