What to do with Takumi

Since we are getting a Free Takumi when the 2.5 update comes around, I want to post a question regarding Takumi.

I pulled a -Def +HP Takumi on Day 1 of Fire Emblem Heroes and I have been using him since then.

However, since the free Takumi is Neutral and he will be great for F2P videos with his Close Counter, Would it be better to merge my current Takumi into the neutral Takumi? Should I promote the Takumi and not merge to avoid possible AI changes? Even though Close Counter is a good skill to give to some units, I'm planning on not doing that tbh.

I also inherited him some skills like Cancel Affinity, Vantage, and Brave Bow.

What are your suggestions? Please let me know so I can decide for myself based on your feedback. Any helpful feedback is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I'm going to do something or other with Robin, I'm pretty sure. Thinking of this build. I also have a friend who uses a Raorowl+/CC Sophia that's been amazing in GC, and I have a H!Henry that might want it.

If I did decide to fodder off the Takumi for Close Counter, I would give it to my Love Abound Lyn or Halloween Jakob (if I pull him from the Legendary Banner).

Yeah. There are better units to give CC, but I like Robin a lot. Plus I already have a CC/Vantage Takumi from ages ago, so I don't need him for either merges or to build. This is just what I'm planning.

I'd keep it and not merge it. Worst comes to worst, you have an extra takumi for CC

Hmmm, just promote him and you will be fine, If you wanna use him with default kit, unmerged for f2p videos, that can possibly change the AI movement during guides.
