What is the Ayra situation?

I don't know why, but why is it that every time we get a good unit, people will say that they may get " the Ayra treatment"; what exactly does it mean and why is it such a big deal? I never really understood it...

If anyone could enlighten me to the fact, I would be very grateful.

last year when the geneology banner was out no one knew she was coming and that she was the best sword in the game. so after everyone had pulled on the other geneology banner, her banner came out. and she was sharing a color with eldigan.

Okay, so she was on a banner that shared a colour with a unit that was considered inferior. Wasn't she also supposed to be a TT reward?

Couple reasons I could see why people would say that.

Most likely reason was the fact she was like the best unit in the game essentially powercreeping and she was sharing red with another unit causing a lot of pity breakers and such for her.

Another thing was there was a full on banner released right before she came out which people dumped orbs on not knowing she was getting released (essentially a bait banner) which caused an uproar.

Rhajat was slightly different, she wasn't as game-breaking as Ayra, and also, we had warning that Rhajat was going to come on a separate banner. Everyone assumed Ayra was free, so it was a real slap in the face when she surprised everyone on a banner.

Rhajat's case was different. We were informed in advance--in the Children of Fate trailer--that she would be introduced in a different banner, and she didn't share a color with another focus.

Yea, kinda.

She fortunately didn't share her color with another unit but she was separated from the other fates kids that got released for whatever reason. Not sure if it was announced beforehand though because Ayra's banner was a complete surprise.

The "Ayra treatment" is referring to how Ayra was released. Before her release she was teased with a few other Genealogy of the holy war characters. However she wasn't in the main banner along side all the new units. This lead people to believe she was either a TT reward, or a free character we somehow got. However days after the first banner drops. Ayra was released in a banner with older not so great character in which she shared a color with Eldigan. This made a lot of people mad, they felt it was a money grab. IS got people to spend all their stones on the banner days before, then release what is still considered the best offensive sword unit on a bad banner in which she shared a color with an somewhat outdated unit. I know I'm missing some details, but I'm sure you can find it all someplace. So many people fear Kaze, might get the Ayra treatment.

Okay, thanks for the info, but isn't Kaze just like Felicia, only without the prf. weapon and more Atk?

Edit: I take that back, Kaze has a lot more Atk.

Oh, a week or two after launch. I just never really understood the uproar, as I managed to get super lucky, pulling Sigurd, then Deirdre , and then Ayra one after another.
