Did you start the season in that tier? I think it only gets demoted if you end a season in a lower tier than the season before that.

And it might only be a symbolic demotion, like the +1 from using bonus structures.

Does your fortress lose a level any time you get demoted, or just if you get demoted below the tier threshold for its level? I can't imagine you'd actually lose the heavenly dew investment.

Well from what it says when you get demoted a tier your Fortress loses a lvl, and seeing that you can lose a max of 80 lift (if your defense doesn't kill anyone) I'd get demoted a tier, but then again I'm not sure if you have to get demoted to a tier lower than what you started the season at or what since it doesn't specify
