Weapons when hero merging?

Alright, so I have a question on something I've been confused on for a while now.
So, I know that when you merge a 5* unit into a 4* one, all skills are inherited. However, I am under the impression that only some legendary weapons can be inherited onto a 4* version of the same unit. Is this true and if so, can someone give me a list of weapons that can or cannot? (doesn't have to be cohesive, just a good amount of examples)

No, all legendary weapons can be inherited to 4* versions of units who can learn the skill at 5* rarity. For example, my 4* +10 Eliwood has Durandal and I am going to upgrade it to Blazing Durandal once I get the chance.

Now the $ 1 billion question is :
Can you inherit B!Roy 's Blazing Durandal directly to Eliwood instead of refining his Durandal ?

Just checked and at the present you cannot. After the update comes out, no idea.

Thank you I was confused b/c I saw a post a while back on this site saying you couldn't inherit Valflame onto a 4* Arvis so I was confused there
