Weapon Refinery Question

So what determines which heroes weapons can be upgraded? I seem to only have 17 heroes with weapons that can be upgraded. All others have a red X. Not sure what the criteria is?

The ones IS decided to give upgrades to. They'll probably add more legendary upgrades overtime. Collecting refining materials will take time anyway.

Thanks for the answer. It does appear quite random.

Most of mine that are available are not great options. The outlier is my Bridezilla. So perhaps it is time to pair her up again with Reinhardt instead of Brave Lyn?

not random in the least. it's definitely a very calculated move on IS's part. Basically every weapon that is OU (overused) is not given the option to refine. The only one i can't understand that they skipped is Falchion- especially with the new weapon buffs they gave to dragons.

If they are 5* heroes with a inheritable weapon for the most cases, which is by far too weak since the actual powercreep. And a few 5* heroes with legendary weapon that suffer the same issue.

It depends on the weapon, not the hero. The criteria is: all weapons which seemed too weak can be refined now.

With certain exceptions like Brynhildr & Sieglinde, it's mainly for older legendary weapons that were powercrept by the recent 2 effects/stat boosting trend. And generic weapons sans the highly prevalent brave weapons, blade tomes & raven tomes.

I think some more weapons might get added over time but I don't think every weapon will. Some of the already top tier weapons will probably just stay as it is. I don't think we'll see the blades or brave weapon with upgrade, they are already very strong as it is.

Fae seems like she could be quite scary now. I need to build her up more. But I think she can do quite well in the Arena.

It broke my heart that Eirika was left off the list, but her twin brother's weapon was buffed.

I almost quit.
